Amazing place! - Edit
Clean with nice features. The food is good, lot of vegan items with some gluten free options. The team is really friendly and there's the possibility to adapt a meal with food preferences. The restaurant is mentionned on this french article about Nepal (with a 15min video at the end):

Maybe best in Kathmandu - Edit
This place would be five stars if it didn’t sell meat. The owner moved back home from Australia and brought his expertise to this place. Prices are standard for most vege/vegan places in the area and the food is really really great. Own vegan menu is a luxury. Portion sizes are very fair. Try the iced lattes and some other vegan drinks. They are great.

Thanks happy cow - Edit
This is a great spot that we never would have found if it weren't for this site. A dedicated vegan menu with a break from the usual food was such a treat. The heaven burger was amazing, the wrap too although slightly oily for me. The potato wedges with mayo...I could eat a whole bowl. Don't leave without having a brownie and hot chocolate with plant milk! Really lovely owner and staff too.

Soy milk option!! - Edit
During my yoga teacher training I came here almost every afternoon to study and had masala tea with soy milk. And many times I would complement that with the vegan brownieBoth are highly recommended. My training group also ordered vegan birthday cakes on 2 separate occasions and they both turned out really delicious!!

amazing!!! - Edit
First time I've had roast veggies in my 6 weeks of travelling - on the side of the vegan wrap. Be sure to ask for the vegan menu!
Read moreTheir soy lattes are also really great (and I'm from Melbourne, we're known for being coffee snobs!).
Also, for any fellow Aussies - they have VEGEMITE !!!!
It's obviously a little pricier than local cuisine but well worth it - their desserts look great also !
Pros: lots of vegan options, great coffee, fast service,
Cons: quite small, so if you go at a busy time it might

expensive vegan options - Edit
The food here is decent. The service is really great but the portions are TINY. Especially for the price. The lasagna does not have any actual noodles. If you’re looking for ‘Italian’ food it’s for sure a decent option. The brownie was really dry :( overall very disappointing for the quality and quantity of food in Thamel for way less money...

Excellent - Edit
Really enjoyed the Tofu Burger, vegan version. Filling and fresh and nutritious. They have soy and almond milks for the drinks, and a couple of vegan desserts. Considering the state of vegan things in this city, it's a wonderful little oasis. (Would give 5 stars but Happy Cow won't allow it for a non-veg place.)

Favorite place that I’ve found in KTM - Edit
It’s a very nice place, with great vegan menu. Food is really delicious and it’s not expensive. Their WiFi works well, so it’s a great place if you want to work. Also you can pay with a credit card, which you can’t do in a lot of other places in Kathmandu.

Accomodating service - Edit
We came here few times and every time owner was here, very friendly and accommodating with our vegan requests. After 3 weeks of local food it was nice to get European style meals. It's more expensive that Nepalese eateries around Thamel, but ~3-4€ for vegan burger was well worth it. We have few more days left in KTM and definitely will come back here.

Delicious food, lovely ambiance! - Edit
The owner of this cafe/bakery has a clear understanding of what vegans can and can't eat. There are several vegan options on the menu. The vegan lasagne is tasty, although don't expect a traditional plate of lasagne. It's more like tasty grilled vegetables (no pasta sauce or pasta sheets) served with a side salad.
Read moreThe greek salad was great (he'll serve it to you without feta), they use fresh organic lettuce leaves.
Unlike many bakeries and restaurants in Thamel, the French Bakery has vegan bread! You can buy a loaf to take away, or try their vegan sandwich. The sandwich was served with organic salad and a side of grilled or pan-fried potatoes deliciously seasoned with garlic and herbs.
The owner is very friendly, he's from Nepal but lived in Australia for many years.. He made a batch of cookies the previous day in commemoration of Anzac Day (a national day of remembrance in Australia), and generously offered one to each of us.
The cafe is small, but very cute. There's plenty of bread and wine on the shelves, as well as a display case of sweets and desserts.
They also have vegan juice and shakes. Don't forgot to try their vegan brownies and muffins!
