Delicious pastries - Edit
I love savory stuffed pastries, and this place did not disappoint. I ate a large potato, mushroom, and onion stuffed pastry, and it was really good, and not like any I have had before. The fillings had large chunks in a somewhat rustic style, and though I was expecting more spices in the filling, the pastry itself was served with pickles, chili oil, and tahini to enhance the flavors. The poppy and sesame seeds on top were toasted which made the taste of the seeds “pop”. I also ate a small spinach pastry that was soft on the inside, flaky on the outside, and overall just totally amazing on my way home, and now I really want to try one of everything vegan that they have. I ordered a small variety to go, and am really looking forward to trying the Bavarian cream donut especially.
Read moreThe inside of the cafe has 3 or 4 small tables with orange metal chairs, and then 3 or 4 tall tables that are pushed together to make one long table in the middle of restaurant with bar height orange metal chairs. I didn’t notice a bathroom. The young man at the register and the woman who heated up the pastry were both very friendly and nice to all of their customers, and especially kind to the many young children who were there when I visited.
