Good Ice Cream! - Edit

They only had two, Cinder Toffee and Forest Fruits. I went for Cinder Toffee and it was very good, with little pieces of Cinder Toffee in it too. I didn't check if any of the other cones were vegan, I only asked about the plain waffle cone. I was told all of the sauces were vegan friendly and some of the toppings.
Prices are reasonable for good quality ice cream. Just a shame they don't have more choice but I believe they rotate the vegan flavours.
They also stock Greenhalghs Pies and pasties, so I spotted a vegan sausage roll too and a Flapjack made by somewhere else.
Parking isn't great there, but you can have a little walk down to the canal for seating with a view!

Not worth the trip for us - Edit
After reading plenty of reviews online of all the exciting vegan options such as cinder toffee, oreo, biscoff icecreams we made the trip out in excitement. Unfortunately we were rewarded with just 3 options compared to the huge variety of non-vegan icecreams, and these were the most basic options you'd get anywhere - vanilla, lemon sorbet, and raspberry sorbet. When asked about all the other flavours we were told they have a rotation which is understandable, but gosh having 3 mediocre options all at once is killer compared to all the fun dairy options they had on show.

We love to call into Fredrick's on Bolton Road when we walk up the canal ... There's a kiosk by the canal throughout the Summer and while it's warm. You can get several flavours if ice cream, a latte with soy or oat milk and even ice cream in large tubs to take away.
Read moreFrederick's also have a great cafe and ice cream parlour on Cunliffe St. in Chorley. There are great vegan food options there as well as ice cream.

Fredericks is a tradition for the locals of Lancashire. I have been eating their ice cream all my life.

Pros: So many flavours, Friendly staff, Great knowledge on what’s vegan
Cons: Parking is not great, It gets very busy on hot days, Seating outside is on a busy main road
