The staff was not very friendly and the prices are completely exorbitant. In addition, of the two vegan options, only one was available, the pasta topped with vegetables and cheese. The noodles were okay, but there was way too much sauce for the small amount of noodles. Would not go there again.
We did not end up eating here because we left but the staff are rude and the prices are pretty crazy. When we called on the phone to see if they had vegan options, the girl on the phone said she couldn’t talk because she had too many tables and hung up. When we got there, one of the servers was a [censored], she was not our server but I was watching her. And lastly, our server kept looking at me and talking to me like I was stupid when I was asking about vegan options. $21 for a vegan poutine (just fries, gravy and Daiya cheese) is the same price as the pulled pork and brisket poutine’s. Why? I was going to order the plant based sausage but the server said no its really gross. I appreciate her honesty for sure but the only other options are a $26 veggie pasta which she didn’t know if the noodles had egg or not, or the crazy expensive poutine. Would not recommend based on my experience but again, did not stay.
A lot of meat and fish but Beyond Meat as well! - Edit
We landed in Ucluelet on a wet Wednesday in August. We checked Happy Cow and the vegan options were really limited. We chanced on Frankie’s and asked if they had anything vegan to be told ‘yes, we have Beyond Meat sausages’ They came with salad and vegan poutine. I just had fries and gravy with it (not a lover of Daiya cheese). Other vegan options were a salad and fries. I know that’s maybe not so good, but Ucluelet is SO limited. This was a gem of a find and the best food I’d had all week on the island. Beer was good too!
