Introducing a non-vegan to vegan food - Edit
Absolutely delicious food. My cousin who grew up n a beef farm at her first vegan restaurant and it was a success.
Read moreThe food was amazing and service was wonderful. The menu items were difficult to decide between. My cousin had the Mushroom cheese burger, my husband who is eating vegan much more often has the Bali Peanut Satay with tofu and I had the chorizo ranchero bowl. The chorizo was was made in-house and was wonderful. I am not sure what kind of vegan cheese was on the burger, but my cousin said t was tasty.
We will be back at the end of the week when we return to Kelowna.
Pros: Ingredients made in-house-chorizo, mushroom burger, Local produce

Good but mooshy - Edit
I had the beet sandwich. The flavour was great but it was a very wet sandwich and the bottom bread was soggy. The service was great.

Adorable and tasty - Edit
Adorable and tasty little spot, a short drive from the airport. It is located in the far corner of a strip mall parking lot, so a teeny bit tricky to find, as we were without data/wifi. We had a selection of 4 appetizers - chips and queso, eggplant bao buns, squash tacos and chickpea fries. Drinks were great, too.

Popular & Kid Friendly Place - Edit
We visited on wing Wednesday and they have a great deal on wings & burgers for 2. Had the pad Thai and green noodle bowl and both were fantastic. We have a 1-year old and they have high chairs and a kids menu with great non-typical options. Our boy had brown rice stir fry with broccoli and chickpeas. Highly recommend!

Best place for Taco(s) 🌮🌮 Tuesday - Edit
I have been here quite a few times for taco Tuesday and it never disappoints. Depending on which vegetables are in season, the tacos will always be somewhat different but always oh so good. Already looking forward to next time.

I ordered take away, the staff was very friendly. Food tasted good, but was difficult to eat (it was a sandwich). Would go again to try something else.

Disappointed - Edit
I used to be a regular.
Read morePurchased 2 hamburgers and 2 chirazo bowls. Burgers were tasteless and buns were terrible. Fries were good burgers only gave about 20 of them. Chirazo bowl...1 tasted moldy and had half the amount of food. Most of the staff is welcoming but I think it's the manager who is dismissive and unpersonable.
I won't be back.
Pros: Tasty fries, Vegan options
Cons: Bland burger, Moldy taste, Half the food as normal

Knowledgeable staff and great food - Edit
After traveling across Canada, having more than 1 option on the menu as vegan was appreciated. A party member with celiac concerns was able to dine with us without stress as well. The staff is great and has good suggestions for folks with allergen concerns.

Never Less Than Terrific - Edit
Whether it’s Non Alc Elixirs, Alc Cocktails, Appetizers, Soups, Sandwiches or Bowls, this place is constantly creating new and delicious additions to their already solid menu. Never have I been disappointed. I make a rule to always have at least one meal at Frankie’s whenever I visit the Okanagan. The staff is terrific as well

My top rated resto of all time - Edit
I had heard about Frankie's through a vegan group and knew I has to try it when we came back to Kelowna.
Read moreI can say that I was absolutely blown away!
Previously, my fave place was on a small island in the South Pacific.
Everything was so incredibly delicious but the Poke Stack was like nothing else. It was so flavorful and beautifully presented. Initially I thought the eggplant was actually fish, which I used to love. It didn't taste fishy but sure looked like it, including the texture of the aubergine cubes.
I wish FWSY was closer to home as I would be there every week!
Pros: All vegan fabulous food, Interesting food twists, Great service
Cons: Usually have to reserve a table (busy and popular , Stomachs unlikely big enough to try everything , Seating times are limited in duration

Best Vegan Food Around - Edit
FWSY has been my favourite restaurant ever since I ventured into a plant-based diet years ago. I can never stop raving about them! The food seriously NEVER disappoints, and it seems that each dish I try is better than the last. The Sweet Corn Queso is a must-have appetizer, and the side of black sesame fries that is offered with some dishes is unmatched. Every dish is so unique and flavourful, as well as their cocktails and non-alcoholic lemonades. I recently went for brunch and had the Smoked Carrot “Lox” on Toast, which was just another dish that blew me away.

Imaginative food and drink menu! - Edit
I was thrilled when the server said the menu was 100% plant-based, but on my next visit she amended that to say that eggs are still available on the weekend brunch menu. (Oct-2021) Maybe they’ll stop that someday.
Read moreI’ve been several times during my two stays in Kelowna, and the food is always good. On my first visit, I had the house-made mushroom-based burger with skinny fries sprinkled with black and regular sesame seeds. Several times I had the Lunch Special, for which you choose one of the three house-made lemonades and two meal items from a list that includes the soup of the day, wraps and salads. Sourdough bread from Sprout Bakery is used. On the dessert menu are truffles and three delicious options, including a cheesecake and a chocolatey version of sticky toffee pudding. I like the creative menu, such as vegetable pot pie style soup, winter squash sandwich, crispy cauliflower wrap and lots more.
The only meal, so far, that I didn't like as much was the Poke Stack with marinated aubergine (an odd taste).
Pleasant staff, made recommendations when I said it was my first time, and asked about any allergies.
Reservations are probably wise, since the restaurant is often quite full. I've managed to get a seat at the bar each time I've gone at 1:00-2:00 p.m. (Oct-Nov 2021) Reservations are needed most times. (May 2022)
Regional beers, wines and ciders.
There's a happy hour menu of drinks and snacks.
Under-bar hooks to hang stuff on, which I always appreciate.
They’re waiting for neighbouring construction to end before adding a patio - maybe summer 2022.

Ordered truffled popcorn and the roasted chickpea thingy.
Read moreTruffled popcorn was… you don’t need to have popcorn trufflerized. The regular ones would do.
The chickpea and avocado in the chickpea plate was very nice, well roasted. The sauce was however not that good, tastes like Lemon Dijon vinaigrette from Costco. It was very sour. With the additional sauerkraut and cherry tomato. It looked very colourful. I wish I had ordered something else.
The staff where very friendly, dish serving is slow.
