Delicious plant based dining - Edit
Really beautiful restaurant and wine bar with a seasonal local menu. Vegan options are not marked on the menu but the chef is plant based and many of the menu items are or can be made vegan (greens dots on photo). The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable about which items are vegan. We had the mushroom gnocchi, brussel sprouts and cauliflower blossom. All were delicious but the 'rice paper crisp' with the brussel sprouts stood out as one of the most inventive bacon alternatives I've come across. My non vegan partner ordered the non vegan chocolate cake for dessert so the staff gave me the upcycled wine sorbet on the house. It was like mulled wine in sorbet form. This place is a must try if you're in blackheath.

While the vegan options aren’t labelled, the service staff were very welcoming and celebratory to have a vegan to serve and explained that more than half the menu could be served vegan. They are a small restaurant only open four days a week so call ahead for a reservation and you won’t be disappointed, or they often have open seats at the bar. My friend and I shared the foccacia and herloom tomato peach salad with almond feta as an appetizer, then we had the lemon potato gnocchi which was perfectly seasoned and refreshingly tangy. If I had room for the wine sorbet I would’ve ordered it too. I had a personalized wine tasting experience while deciding which wine to drink, and in the end they probably gave me tastings of five different wines complementarily. I was satisfied, impressed, and am looking forward to the next time I can come back.
