small pastries - Edit
The apple pie was very tasty and not too sweet. The panada was incredibly tasty and filled with peas. The shop was small and very crowded. The staff was friendly but very stressed.

Traditional pastries - but made vegan - Edit
The vegan pies were sold by the time we arrived at 3pm, but there was still a selection of vegan savoury slices - single flavours or one with all four vegan toppings. The vegan sweet was apple tart.

Vegan pastries available! 🥐 - Edit
This bakery focuses on traditional Mallorcan sweet and savory pastries using lots of local ingredients. There are several vegan options, some sweet, some savory and the change frequently. They tend to be delicious 🤤

Delicioso y tradicional - Edit

Nice savory pastries - Edit
Was nice to try some traditional mallorquin pastries, they and more savory options than sweet. The options we tried were nice but lacked a bit of flavor for me personally. #Veganuary

Delicious - Edit
Though the very non-vegan pork pastries in the form of pig heads are a bit unsettling for vegans, this place is very welcoming, patient with foreigners whose Spanish is beyond rusty (eh-hem) and yes, they have several vegan options. When I went, everything vegan was savory: panades (like mince pies) and the empanada-ish cocaroi, plus coca de trampo (Mallorquin pizza). I had a panada that was flaky and delicious, with just a bit of a pepper kick. Would go back!

Must-stop in Mallorca - Edit
Dad is a pastry fiend and must have his baked goods in the morning, especially when on holiday somewhere different so he can start his day on something familiar. Fornet de la Soca is a traditional Mallorcan bakery that’s vegan-friendly (lard-free) with knowledgeable staff. Dad's not vegan but I am so this place is perfect.
Read moreThere are both savory and sweet options that include flatbreads/pizzas and apple pies. The absolute best was the traditional panades with pea and leek filling. By far, one of my favorite bites from this entire trip.
Fornet de la Soca is a must to appreciate what Mallorca has to offer. And it’s just a few blocks east of Passeig del Born. Go!

Todo Delicioso - Edit
Todo demasiado bueno, ojalá pongan mas cosas veganas, opciones típicas de Mallorca pero veganas (coca de trampo, las parades… ) pero vegano todo. Además hacen unos pasteles salados muy buenos.

Delicious and they showed us all the vegan stuff (several savoury pastries and one sweet apple pie). We paid around 18 Euro for 4 pieces

Traditional Mallorcan pastries - Edit
A beautiful bakery with a really decent amount of vegan options considering they are not entirely vegetarian / vegan. We tried 3 different savoury vegan options - some much better than others but I think that’s a matter of personal taste! We liked the panades with the pea filling the best, although the crust was quite oily.
Read moreStaff are pretty knowledgeable and clarified our position on cheese before making recommendations.
I would really recommend speaking to them prior to ordering and letting them know you’re vegan or vegetarian. Like a lot of pastries and breads in Mallorca, some things look ‘safe’ but a lot are made with lard in place of butter or olive oil.
Pros: 5+ vegan options , Knowledgeable staff , Very cute inside!
Cons: Most sweet options are made with lard, Can get very busy

Lovely traditional Mallorcan bakery - Edit
Although this isn't a fully vegan or vegetarian bakery they have some lovely options for vegetarians and vegans alike. I have been vegan for 5 years and the thing I missed most is a good vegan empanada, the bakery had a vegan empanada filled with peas artichoke and traditional spices. They also had two sweet pastry options for vegans.
