I’ve been vegan my whole life and, in every place where I’ve travelled until now (which is more than 100 cities across the globe) I tried local vegan food. All my previous experiences were between average and excellent and until today I couldn’t imagine someone was able to make veggies disgustingly inedible.

Chose this restaurant in St.Gallen because of good reviews on Happy Cow and got the most vomitable (unfortunately, literally) experience ever. I’d say, DON’T TRUST THESE GOOD REVIEWS.

First of all, when you go to a vegan place, especially this expensive (more than 100€ for 2 breakfasts), you expect to get elaborated dishes. But the 1st thing that comes in this one is a crazy amount of bread (far from being tasty), 2 croissants tasting like they were baked last year, with sugary jams and chocolate tasting like bitter dissolved cacao. Then you get a plate of inedible cheese and meat imitations (what a great idea for a vegan place, right?) + hard tasteless waffles. But the 3rd part is just the worst, a set of strange salty / spicy stuff, out of which the only thing whose taste you can tolerate is hummus. I tried to try a bit of everything — and it was the worst possible idea. When I put “carrot salmon” 🤢😖🤮 in my mouth, my immediate thought was to run to the toilet and vomit. The 1st time in my life I literally spit smth out on the plate in a restaurant — just to avoid worse consequences (I’d do it on a paper but there was no paper on the table), I bet if I just ate a piece of real dead fish, I wouldn’t feel that bad.

We rejected the last 2 coming things because I couldn’t even smell their food anymore. Left hungry and super intoxicated at the same time. Experienced the fastest digestion that ever happened to me — never before food managed to abandon my body 5 minutes after consuming it, which was none of a pleasant experience. Had to buy other stuff to kill the taste coming up from the stomach.

The last but not the least, the staff is DAMN neurotic, unfriendly and rude, the interior is retrograde. Not a place to relax while enjoying food.
