The Kingdom of Fife - Edit
Part of what appears to be a St Andrews property and restaurant empire. Good luck to them in these times of austerity, unless you happen to be Frank Lampard of course. The food we had was quite excellent. A touch overpriced but necessarily so I guess, Trussonomically adjusted perhaps. A lot to answer for. We shared a starter of 5 pieces of deliciously braised gyoza followed by an excellent Moving Mountains burger with fries (served in an enticing metal basket for that added illusion of grandeur) and their “award winning” banana blossom fish and chips which were mightily impressive. Mains were in the £15 region and starters £7-8. A thoroughly enjoyable meal in plush surroundings. Alma Matters to me in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife.
