Serves meat, vegan options available. Cafe attached to Whitemead Forest Park. Offers clearly marked vegan choices including a full vegan breakfast, fajitas and burger. Open Mon-Sun 08:00-21:30.
This is the onsite cafe at Whitemead, a place that celebrates its connection to nature. This is not reflected in its cafe.
Yes there are vegan options, but aside from the breakfast, they are so lazily thought out it’s offensive.
Vegan burger - a cheap tasting crispy breadcrumb thing in a stodgy bun, a teeny dollop of ‘vegan’ mayo that I’d question. Another vegan main is fajitas but there’s no effort to provide vegan sour cream. Or you can have falafel salad.
It would be good if they just did vegan cheese on jacket potato. Nope!
