Great menu and delicious food - Edit
They offered free vegan flatbread before the meal, as an alternative to the normal bread service. They had some fake meat options, a portobello burger, veg heavy options.

Awesome. - Edit
They don't have tons of vegan options but what they have is fantastic and clearly labeled. One of my pictures didn't turn out, but the vegan meatloaf is delicious and the portion is huge! The "skinny" fries are awesome - they're baked and oil free. The raspberry dessert is delicious, a cheesecake like consistency made from cashews and hazelnuts. I plan to go back anytime I'm in Williamsburg.
Read moreThey also offer free bread with fresh pico if you mention needing vegan options. The bread that comes to the table otherwise isn't vegan. 🤍🌱

Multiple vegan options including an alternative to the bread offered before the meal that was not vegan. The "Thai One Off" was excellent with the vegan chicken

Decent but not many options - Edit
We used to come here years ago. They don’t serve breakfast anymore due to staffing shortages. Sad, as it was the only game in town which had decent vegan breakfast. Dinner was fairly bland. My wife had the butternut squash with tofu and I the Beyond burger on gluten-free bread. Both needed flavor. The only sauce, barbecue, was way too sweet. They prepare the vegan options on the same grill as the meat.

Delicious food and great concept - Edit
There is a vegetarian part of the menu “Garden of Eden” and they can make all the options vegan. I had the ultimate vegetarian with the vegan pesto. It was delicious and so was the mushroom rice. The best part of the restaurant was the concept - inspiring quotes on the walls, talking points and riddles and legal cases on the tables to discuss, and a book-style menu.

Lots of options for Vegans - Edit
I was pleased to see the menu had quite a few options. Which was a nice change. Most Williamsburg restaurants are limited. My sandwich was awesome.

Super Vegan Friendly - Edit
The staff was very knowledgeable about what all of the vegan options were. They even had vegan flatbread that they brought out as a free appetizer with vegan butter. I got their spin-off of Pad Thai and it was delicious, plus the proportions were really big, so I got to take home leftovers. The only drawback was that the meal was pretty pricey. Mine was $22, but the free appetizer and the fun atmosphere made it worth it. I’d definitely go again.

Had a great lunch here today. They have so many vegan options and lots of things that can be made vegan on request. We had the Pad Thai with tofu, a beyond burger and the most delicious bean soup. All were excellent!

Twice in the same day! - Edit
The food was so good, we went twice on the same day! Hubby, son and I are all vegan and LOVED this place. Great vibes, educated staff on vegan and allergies, nice variety of options, clean bathrooms, quick friendly service. Waitress brought out Parmesan rolls when we arrived and I told her to please offer to another table because none of us eat dairy. She asked if we would like warm pita with sun dried tomatoes (no additional charge) and that tasted amazing! Son and I split the Unreal Cheesesteak Sub. Hubby got the same thing. I try to stay away from mock meats and cheeses but this melted in our mouths and was so worth it! We are visiting from Florida and met up with traveling friends (not all vegan but 1 severe dairy allergy) so we took them there for dinner. The Pad Thai, Cilantro Lime Gardein Chicken, and Portabella Stack were all a hit. Almost all of the sides are cooked in vegan butter but fried food shares meat fryer. Mashed sweet potatoes are delicious. Really appreciate the options.

Gourmet, healthy vegan dishes - Edit
I got the Ultimate Vegetarian with pesto and it was a delicious vegan meal. My husband got the mushroom stack and the sauce was to die for. I love that it is whole food plant-based with no processed meat analogs. They also had a couple of other vegan meals. Ask for the vegan flat bread because the regular bread is not vegan. The tomatoes that come with the bread was simply fabulous!! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. My only recommendation is to have a few more vegan options to include appetizer. #Veganuary

3 words: Unreal Deli Cheesesteak - Edit
A fully vegan cheesesteak with Ms Goldfarb’s, vegan cheese and vegan Mayo. Absolutely delicious. Waitstaff is very helpful and accommodating. Atmosphere is interesting and they have healthier options too like a portobello burger I’ve had several times before. Williamsburg is notoriously limited in vegan options and Food for Thought helps bridge the gap. Worth a visit, worth a return.

Excellent! - Edit
Went here on college homecoming weekend with a group of 8, consisting of several vegans & several meat eaters—everyone was happy. Although main bread basket brought to the table had cheese sprinkled on the rolls, as soon as the server realized I was vegan, she arranged a vegan bread offering: flatbread w/ chopped, seasoned tomatoes that was delicious. Every menu section had something for vegans to choose from. Even one of the daily specials was vegan. I had a Thai stir fry that could be ordered w/ chicken, tofu, or gardein chicken. My husband had a vegan burger & was offered a choice of vegan cheeses as well as other interesting toppings. Many dishes were offered w/ vegan options by subbing gardein chicken for regular chicken. The dessert menu had 2 vegan options.
Read moreWe registered ahead for priority seating using the website & still waited about 30 minutes for a table (in line w/ expectations based on our conversation w/ restaurant). However, we were a large group & it was a busy weekend w/ college homecoming groups in addition to typical tourist business.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Accommodating , Something for everyone
Cons: Busy

Impressed - Edit
I had been wanting to try this place for a while and omg this place was worth the wait! It smelled good as we were walking in. So I honestly thought everything on the menu was vegan but they do serve meat. I got The Ultimate Vegetarian and I added portobello mushroom caps! It was delicious! It came in a squash with the sauce inside topped with pine nuts. My boyfriend and I shared the blackberry Kombucha. He got the Family reunion and loved it. Our server was gave great service! We ended the night with a raspberry hazelnut torte which is gluten free as well. Don’t just take my word for it go and try it out yourself. 10/10 going again tomorrow

Very good food! - Edit
We ate here twice during our vacation in Williamsburg with non vegan family. Everyone was happy! The Ultimate Vegetarian is one of the best vegan meals that I have ever had in a restaurant and I would order it again anytime. I will call it The Ultimate Vegan! I also had the Thai One On. It was good but too oily and not an outstanding dish for me. The special both days was vegan meatloaf and it was so good that my dad had it twice. The vegan raspberry hazelnut torte was good and it is wonderful to have a real dessert for us. The vegan flatbread with tomato bruschetta that they bring instead of the not vegan bread and cornbread is so good! I did not get back for lunch but saw that they have a vegan Reuben on the menu. Sounds amazing!

The decor isn’t for me, but the food is consistently good, and so is the service. I’m a big fan of the “Thai One On” with tofu. The portions are large, and they are very accommodating of dietary restrictions.
