This place has everything and you can get some things delivered using door dash. It’s right next to a couple other vegan businesses, jet black coffee and rad magic subs!
Edit: you can no longer get things delivered, but this place is still awesome
So exciting to be able to eat everything in a grocery store! Decent selection, and lots of items we haven’t seen anywhere else. The vegan soft serve is a delicious bonus! Love that they sponsor animal sanctuaries as well.
I love the Elephant crushing the Paleo diet caveman shirt for the gluten-free paleo craze is too much hype. Don't believe the hype like Public Enemy...Flava Flav and Chuck D know what's what. Unless you are 1 percent of the population w/ celiac, hail seitan.
This is the place to pick up a tote bags stating:
"Vegan means trying to Suck less"
and fill it w/ some goodies.
No need to read labels and friendly staff. Would love to see wider selection of bulk foods and organic local produce...perhaps even a food buying club, but here is the place to be a little naughty and get vegan snickers bars....vegan haggis....kale chips and of course vegan prophylactics.
It's a nice feeling to be able to walk around and not have to see body parts or bodily excretions from animals. It's not a "everything you'd need" store, but it has a lot of nice things and ways to reduce going to other stores. Nice snacks and frozen and drinks selection primarily. I did not take any photos while inside the store (forgot) but here is an image of things purchased. The "WHOLLY VEGGIE!" yellow box cheeze sticks were very good. I have not tried everything in this image. It can be a bit more expensive as that is a byproduct of smaller businesses and trying to pay wages and sellers better which would be the downside from a consumer P.O.V if the budget is lower.
I‘m a longtime fan of Food Fight! And glad to come visit the new spot on Halsey. Still an awesome selection of vegan prepared foods, snacks, and baking supplies, along with pet food and makeup and other sundries. Hilarious and delicious convenience-store style menu of pizza, buffalo wings and soft serve. Clerk was very sweet and helpful.
I came in ten minutes prior to closing with no clue of what to buy, but it was worth swinging by. They have half of vegan stuff that I have never seen or heard of. The prices are a dollar or two above usual deals I’ve seen at health stores, but they have better selection for vegans. I was able to shop with ease knowing everything is 100% vegan. Cute small store, but I’ve seen enough after only ten minutes. I didn’t need much of anything, yet I managed to grab an item that I know that I would not walk out without, the WayFare butterscotch pudding. Wish they carry more ice cream for the hot summer, though. This one is easily off of I-205, so that’s a plus..
This store has a great selection of vegan foods and other items. I had fun finding so many treats and staples in one place! We also enjoyed their pizza and an amazing peanut butter cup shake. The owner was so nice and welcoming and helped me find things. Can't wait to go back!
A small shop with a good variety of plant-based packaged food. Refreshing to find a vegan store you can shop at without having to worry about reading labels or anything.
I first went here in 2017. It was my first time in Portland. I had been vegan for ten years at the time and it’s not often you see vegan grocery stores!!! Since then a few in the U.S have shut down sadly. But Food Fight! lives on! They take Ebt so vegan food is accessible to everyone! I love what you can find here and good deals sometimes! Great place.
Idk why it won’t let me rate 5 stars but this place was awesome! A lot of really great vegan items and lovely to not have to look at ingredients. #Veganuary
I love grocery shopping without having to read every label - Edit
I always go buck wild when I go to Food Fight because I'm not slowed down by having to vegan-proofread all the labels. I really miss their store on Stark, though the Halsey one is pretty out of the way for me.
So happy to finally find Zeastar vegan sashimi!!! I have been looking everywhere for it for months! This place is super cute. It is small, but it's for sure the biggest vegan grocery store I've been to with the best selection.
Sad that it's a state away for me. I'll for sure come back when I can.
Food Fight has been a traditional Portland stop since back on Division. We’re so thankful they’ve been able to keep this location open. We always find something new and fun.
I’ve always dreamed about a vegan grocery store! This place has everything you could ever want! The essentials, the comforts, the treats😄Definitely a must visit for vegans!
Went here for the first time the other week and loved that I didn't have to read the labels to see if things were vegan or not. It's small, but there's a lot in there! Definitely go again if I'm in Portland anytime soon😄
Great shop with loads of amazing vegan products. I've only been during COVID, so I've never been inside the store, but ordering was straightforward with their website. Place your order before 2 pm on the site if you want same day curbside pickup.
Every time I walk into Food Fight! I feel welcomed. During this [censored] pandemic they have stepped up to not only make me feel welcome, but also safe. They obviously care about their customers and the customers obviously care about them! Well done.
Love stopping here for my last minute needs. I always get my soy curls, frozen chicken wings (so much cheaper then anywhere in town and so easy to make!) Lunch meats, cheese, and different hotsauces! Love supporting an all vegan grocery store. Employees are always friendly and helpful too! I'm always asking about products!
I love supporting a place that puts its ethical commitments at the forefront of its existence. Places like these are rare and deserve to thrive! I love Food Fight. The staff is very friendly and will help you find anything you need. The place is well stocked with all the best vegan products, many of which are difficult to find in other places.
My fiancé and I go there all the time for snacks. They got the best cookie dough, chips, drinks, chocolate etc. they also have fresh veggies and fruit most of the time which is awesome. The people who work there are super nice and you can get some free stickers. Another cool thing is that they always have petitions you can sign like banning fur and stuff like that.

Forgo the fracas of flambuginous feeding, and feast at this festival of full-fisted flavors. - Edit
Adjacent parking and a good selection of local products - for example tofu, kombucha, and baked goods.
