You can really get anything here and you will be in love. If any place could turn people vegan it’s FoMu! So many flavors and options to choose from. This location was the busiest we have visited but was very efficient with not a long wait at all.

Read moreThey don't straight up say "vegan" they said "alternative" and "earth based" which I thought was pretty funny. But it's good they didn't say "vegan" or "dairy free" because the general public often has a bad connotation to vegan food, and don't even know you can make vegan desserts, so it's a good way to introduce it to people.
So in turn more people will enjoy the vegan ice cream and be surprised to learn it is vegan.
My only complaint it that it's crazy expensive. But I mean it's all handmade and on Newbury street so I guess I can't blame them.
On days when Newbury is busy, the line can get very long. I went when there were like 2 people ahead of me, then 10 minutes later the line was out the door. If it's too crowded just walk around a bit more and check back later.
In conclusion, the ice cream here is delicious, and even non-vegans will enjoy! Unless they are on a budget lmao

I went to the FoMu in Allston having eaten a nice salad at Whole Heart Provisions a couple of doors away.

Totally recommended!
Pros: Close to Grasshopper and Whole Heart Provisions, Very clean inside (including restrooms)., Excellent choose of tasty treats.

I LOVE FoMu. All the ice creams are coconut based and they clearly mark which flavors contain nuts or gluten. I got the chocolate cookie dough and was impressed by the ice cream to cookie dough ratio! The chocolate ice cream was super creamy and the cookie dough chunks were the size of ping pong balls, YUM! They also offer a variety of baked good and ice cream cookie sandwiches in the freezer. Can't wait to go back!
