so far i've only had the fogwood smoky burger, and it was excellent.

I don’t have many words besides wow. This place is amazing and I wish I lived closer. I loved the Korean bbq burger. Nice atmosphere, owner is friendly, nice staff. Would highly recommend checking out if you’re in the area

Both of the sandwiches my husband and I got were amazing!! We were at an appointment and looking for somewhere to eat on the way home and since this restaurant had so many excellent reviews, we simply had to go — it was a little out of our way, but DID NOT DISAPPOINT, the food really was sooo good!!!

Amazing Vegan Food - Edit
This little vegan spot in Port Jervis’ little downtown area is awesome. Their creative comfort food dishes are delicious. I try to have something different each time but must have a side of the mac and cheese or potato salad no matter what. They get an A plus for efficiency - even though they are a small shop, food always comes out quickly with no compromise on quality.

Their cashew Mac and cheese is delicious!! You can order it plain or with add-ons like their lentil/mushroom “sausage.” Haven’t tried other dishes yet, but it was a great meal & is definitely worth bringing skeptical non vegan family/friends to try. They’ll love it too!

This is a gem of a casual restaurant. Maybe I loved it so because we were just passing through and discovered it (here on Happy Cow) without expecting too much. Maybe it was just that good. I want them to open in NYC—better yet—Brooklyn—and in my neighborhood. It’s a simple lunch/brunch place, but you won’t find finer grub. We split a white bean soup that was more like a chowder with oyster mushrooms, then the Fogwood Smoky Burger (our house melty cashew cheese, smoky coconut crisp, chipotle lime mayo, tomato, onion, house pickle, arugula, black lentil mushroom patty, on house sesame burger bun). And for dessert split the Coconut Cashew Cheezecake—Usually served on weekends only (we had a peanut butter and jelly cheezecake, it was light and delicious, not overpowering or heavy as it sounds).

It’s that good. All I can say is if there’s a community there that supports food of this caliber this could be the start of vegan heaven.

I was visiting family and was told about this restaurant. I've been vegan in LA for 14 years, and not to sound obnoxious, this place could easily outshine any number of LA vegan establishments. The location is perfect (green mountain views all around), the interior is spacious and well-done, the service is cheery and quick, and the food is AMAZING!

BEST FOOD AROUND - Edit
I live in NYC and travel to the port jervis area often to volunteer at Tamerlaine Sanctuary and Preserve in Montague NJ and Fogwood is a necessary pit stop everyday it is open. The food is unreal and gives the vegan food in NYC a run for its money. I don’t think there’s one thing on the menu that I don’t love.

This was such a wonderful surprise!!! We ordered a few different things, Mac and cheese, patty on sour dough, and kale salad! No joke! Best patty and that Mac and cheese will be my new delicious comfort food!

I had the patty melt and I must say, it was the best one I've ever had! It was fresh, crispy "buttery" bread, the vegan cheese was unbelievable, flavorful and melty! A beautifully designed restaurant and it was more then obvious that the amount of care taken by the owners to create everything from the menu to the ambiance that their heart is in the place. Spot on!

Wonderful late lunch choice for us passing through. We had the Reuben special with tempeh and fresh sauerkraut, vegan Mac n cheeze and the PB and homemade jam and banana. We enjoyed all of it! The cafe was comfortable, clean, and beautifully designed. The service was fantastic and friendly and we really enjoyed chatting with Jeff, the owner. Most things are made in house and the produce is from the local farmer’s market. Highly recommended💗🤙🏼
