Yea so this is perfect - Edit
As amazing and IMPECCABLE as the food was, the real shining star here is the service. Now, being someone from new england, i learn not to take bad service too seriously- and thus good service almost never impresses me as I'm mainly there for the food. But at foglia, they brought us little culinary gifts from the chef throughout our meal. This is something I've never seen before but is such a genius idea! The chef came out on multiple occasions as well to ask how our meal was, something I've also never seen before in such quantity. I kind of don't know what to say. And, once again, this is paired with some of the best food I've ever tasted.

Vegan fine dining at its best! - Edit
I’ve been here a couple times and I’m always impressed by the quality of food! Most recently, I went for brunch and ordered the waffles with cinnamon whipped cream and a really lovely coffee mocktail that was recommended when I asked if there was any iced coffee. Everything exceeded my expectations, as always!

Classic dishes, executed flawlessly - Edit
I will be dreaming about our dinner at Foglia until next time. It was one of the best vegan meals ever! Everything we ordered:
Read more-Amuse-bouche: Was a toast with a tomato jam confit. Absolutely delightful!
- The Roxie cocktail: Tequilla, pineapple, watermelon and lime was on the sweet side, but delicious!
- Mighty Quinn Negroni cocktail: Delicious unique take on a classic.
-White bean dip: With roasted garlic, rosemary, calabrian chili, served with house made toasted focaccia was my husband's favorite. So creamy, crunchy foccaccia, and a kick of heat from the chili.
- Stuffed fried squash blossoms: Filled with tofu ricotta with pomodoro and parmesan. This was my favorite. The blossoms were so creamy, well seasoned, delicately fried. Pomodoro clearly home made. Its the most delicious red sauce I've ever had! I highly recommend it!
-Fazzoletti e Funghi: House made pasta sheets, oyster mushrooms, white wine, vegan cream. Oh so good! Pasta executed to perfection, delicate, mild eggy taste. The delicious cream sauce perfectly coats the pasta and gets soaked into the mushrooms, buttery rich with brightness from the wine. Highly recommend!
-Fusilli affumicati: House pressed fusilli is impressive, so savory and smoky with eggplant, heirloom tomatoes, smoky mozzarella and fresh basil. My husband loved this dish.
-Seasonal fruit galette: Was buttery, flaky, bright from peaches or nectarines with a side of rich and creamy housemade vanilla ice cream.
-Mini madeleines: A sweet finish to end a fantastic meal ♡
Overall, Foglia offers classic dishes, executed flawlessly. Every component, well seasoned, thought through. Everything on menu is homemade, except High Time Foods. However, its a minimally processed, versatile product like TVP. Chef Peter Carvelli's chicken meatball is a unique chef creation and hope to try it next time! Many dishes are gluten free or has an option for gluten free. Foglia is also 100% tree-nut free, which I sincerely appreciate being allergic to cashews. We were able to order anything and all we ordered was fantastic!
We made the trip just for dinner, but recommend coming to Bristol, RI for the afternoon. Foglia is nestled in a very cute coastal town with historical museums, shops, and beautiful sights of the water. We cannot wait to come back! Thank you Chef Peter Carvelli and team at Foglia!
Pros: Housemade vegan dishes, including pasta, bread, Plenty of street parking

Worth the splurge! - Edit
Food, setting, service all great. We've eaten at some of the top vegan restaurants in the US, and Foglia equals any of them. Esp. loved the pasta w mushrooms, also the chocolate and lemon desserts, but everything we ate was fantastic.

If you find your eagle within 2 hours of this gem then it will be worth your while to make the trip. For the focaccia alone is worth the journey. He pastas were on par with the best Italy has to offer. Amazing flavor profiles and a prix fixe menu available as well. From the cocktails to the food to the service this was an unforgettable evening.

Outstanding vegan fine dining - Edit
There are a lot of great vegan restaurants that specialize in comfort food, the kind of food you eat at a football tailgate. It’s a lot harder to find great vegan haute cuisine. Foglia is OUTSTANDING and affordable vegan fine dining. It’s a family-run business. The chef and his wife are both vegans. His dishes are creative, SO delicious, and entirely made on the premises (for example, they make all the pasta themselves). He’s more of a magician than a chef, and his wife is a friendly and passionate! The atmosphere is cozy, the restaurant is exceptionally clean, and EVERYTHING on the menu is vegan and reasonably priced! Even non-vegans we were speaking to in the restaurant were saying how much they love it and how much it dispelled their misconceptions about vegan food. We had such a good time that we ate at Foglia every day during our vacation in Bristol, Rhode Island. #Veganuary

I tried two dishes: fazzoletti e funghi (with added truffle oil & shavings) and the cacio e pepe. Both were excellent, five star creamy pastas.

Unbelievable - Edit
My sister and I were near Bristol, RI, and found this gem online. We decided to try the tasting menu with wine pairings and were blown away. Everything was SO delicious. The server, hostess and chef were all so kind and the ambiance was the icing on the cake. I wish we lived closer so we could try everything on the menu. If you’re near Bristol, you have to try it!

Excellent brunch food and service! - Edit
We planned to stop for their vegan brunch. I had the pancakes with peach compote (without whip cream) but all vegan and oil free - delicious! My husband had ‘chick’n and waffles - (vegan but not oil free) - very tasty! Mimosa’s and bellini’s and coffee all really good! Service was very friendly and top notch. we ate outside as we had our dogs but the inside restaurant is very classy. Would love to come back and try the vegan pasta’s!

Tasting menu - Edit
I visited Foglia for a celebration on the recommendation of people on the internet and was delighted to find this little gem of a restaurant. We tried the tasting menu, which was five courses (salad, appetizer, pasta, main, and dessert) plus an amuse bouche and a palate cleanser. For two people plus one wine pairing it came to about $200, which seemed like a fair-to-good price for the amount of food and the quality. I took most of my main home because I was so full (and I was the one drinking). The menu changes periodically based on what is fresh and available, which I appreciate tremendously.
Read moreThe staff was super, and the chef came around to speak to clients periodically, which I always enjoy. My only complaint was that the wines were too sweet for my taste (almost every wine was on the sweeter side, or four glasses with the tasting) and, while they had an espresso machine, they couldn’t steam milk for cappuccino or other espresso drinks. Other than that, however, everything was top-notch.
Next time I’ll pass on the wine pairing and have a cocktail and a glass of wine of my choice. I will definitely be back.

Highly recommend! All of the dishes we ordered were incredible and the service fantastic, plus you can't beat the views from the outside tables.
