Have been here twice and it was fabulous both times. All vego, most of it vegan. Authentic Indian street food, prices are good, service great. Cannot recommend highly enough.

New review, since they moved to Redfern

Tasty & creative veg'n indian street food, close to Redfern station and RaRa Ramen.

See photos.

Went solo & had a good chat with the Indian lady running the place (sorry didn't get her name)

Tasty food but very slow service

Shared a portion of the broccoli wings and chai. Food was really good and venue was cute but food took ages considering there weren’t many tables in!

Over hyped

Lovely fit out and great people watching in the front window. The vegan tax on a menu that was previously vegan is really disappointing. $1.90 for vegan yoghurt instead of dairy 🤯 $22 for a toastie that is pretty much just potato is wild. Will go to Green Mushroom next time we are feeling Indian.

Cons: $$$$

Super tasty and friendly!

Really nice Indian spot with sit down tables upstairs. Food and service were great. Had given them 4 stars since initially I thought portions were on the small side for the price, but after coming back a second time I’m pleasantly surprised by the affordability!

Hidden Gem

Extremely Delicious! Very filling. Loved the food & the fantastic laneway setting. Apparently they set a new limited menu each week. Will definitely be going back again to try more.

Pros: Well portioned, Very friendly helpful staff, Great ambience & hidden

Great hidden gem 💎

Really cool hidden location down a little laneway in the middle of the city - melbourne vibes for sure. The staff were super friendly, food options were limited but they did them well. The sandwich I ordered was a little on the spicier side, also couldn’t appreciate it fully because I was very hungover that day 😅 but overall a great experience and decent prices!

Great place for a snack

We popped over for a snack the other day and the fritters do not disappoint! They were tasty to boot and generous in the serving. Personally the chai wasn’t my cup of tea but that’s neither here nor there. Fun lame way location makes me think of Melbourne, but might be a little tricky to find for some. Will happily go back.

Pros: Tasty fritters , Cheap food

Cons: Didn’t serve water , A little hard to find

Tasty and wholesome

They take their food very seriously and do an amazing job. Highly recommend the Quinoa Kichihdi. It is flavourful, delicious, and similar to an Indian spiced risotto, but soupier. Their pakora fritters are what they are known for, and are delicious as well.

A no frills all vegan spot, which is designed to replicate a roadside food stall in Mumbai (hence the tucked away location). Friendly staff and a great vibe.

Only con is the fritters take a while when its busy as they are made fresh, so try an avoid peak lunch time or order ahead if you are short on time.

Delicious fritters!

We came here during our stay in Sydney and were very impressed with how tasty the fritters are - we shared a large one between us and really enjoyed them, plus everything is vegan! The only downside is that the tucked away alleyway location means that you have to walk past and then eat near people who are choosing to smoke in the alley.

So good!

Love this place, love that’s it’s so close to everything yet tucked away from the madness of the city.

Pros: Small menu but everything is delicious

Cons: I wish they served beer! Perfect accompaniment

Wonderful, tasty and wholesome

Loved the quinoa khichri, very wholesome. Pakora fritters were nice and crunchy and fresh. Service was friendly. I also had a iced chai which was ok, but needed a bit more spice, tasted a bit weak.

Awesome delicious fritters and chai

Ok so I walked up to this hidden gem. I wasn't keen on eating fritters but once I had them , couldn't believe how yummy they were. The chai, I had this masala chai after years. It was so good. Everything on the menu is definitely worth a try.

Pros: Delicious

Very tasty

I had a tasty and filling Quinoa Khichri. The place is deservedly becoming popular, there were plenty of people ordering around lunch time. Food is served in a handy way, though unfortunately not very environmentally friendly - but that's what a take away must do.

Pros: Very tasty, Fast service, unless you're stuck behind a group.

Cons: Smokers on the way, par for most of the CBD.

Hidden treasure worth the chase

Very good fritters
Authentic location easy to find but still not main road
Burger was good too
Little spicy the sauces so make sure you ask to have them on the side if you want your fritters plain. Will come back 🙌

Hidden gem is right!

Tiny place, limited offerings, but so delicious and charming. My non-vegan/vegetarian husband, always suspicious of my choices, wanted to know what took us so long to find this place, so that tells you something about how good it was. Alley wasn't even smoky when we were there at lunchtime.

Pros: delicious food

Cons: limited seating, in an alley - but hey, that's part of the fun

So good!

This place is tucked back in an alley, but don’t stop looking until you find it. They have a fritter special every day as well as chai. The fritter was such a culinary treat and made for the perfect quick lunch.

Great fritters

Great little spot to grab some lunch that is vegan and gluten free but the food can take a while. I was waiting for 15 minutes for my fritters
The fritters itself were delicious.
