Food yes; Service no

Incredibly bad service multiple times, different people. I'm mystified. Just stuff forgotten. Three different occasions. I have not returned since the last time. BUT, some of the baked stuff is just wonderful, very high quality, and made with love.

Pros: baked goods, inventiveness, location

Cons: service

One of my favourite places from my Seattle trip

I loved this place. Huge pastry selection (the cinnamon buns are to murder for). Great lattes. Great tofu scramble. About a block away from the Lenin statue too! No complaints about this place.

Pros: Great location, Great pastries, Great staff

Cons: None

Scrumptious soul food

It felt like I died and went to heaven when I had the warm vegan gluten-free cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting! Just because you have to live without doesn’t mean that you have to sacrifice taste. Thanks for the soul food!

Pros: Yummy, Friendly, Cozy

Good if you need gluten-free

I come here for cake occasionally because their flavors are really creative, and their banana & carrot cakes are particularly good. I sometimes find the regular cakes & cupcakes a bit dry and crumbly, and the frosting a bit dry also. The prices are a bit steep ($7-7.50/slice). I sometimes enjoy their blueberry scones, but they don't resemble a scone in any way aside from shape. The ambiance is really great, and the staff is always really nice and friendly.

Pros: Great selection, Friendly staff

Cons: Somewhat pricey, Pastries can be crumbly/dry

Lots of options

I love that they are vegan AND gluten free, as a lot of places provide options for one or the other. Great pie and cinnamon rolls! They also have all the non-dairy options for my iced latte!

Pros: Lots of options, Helpful staff

Cons: Can be busy, Opens later on weekdays

Too expensive - $80 cakes?

As a vegan advocate and prior chef, I was very disappointed with the price to purchase a whole cake. Not only was the price $80, but there were no samples. That is a lot of money to pay for a cake without first trying a sample. Gluten-free or not.

Pros: Everything is vegan

Cons: Expensive, small portions

Can flying apron cater my life???

I may have gotten gluttonous but my lunch this afternoon is a slice of mixed berry crumble pie, a ginger molasses cookie and an oat milk vanilla latte. This is the only way I’m interested in spending my life, thank you.

Pros: This pie is the bomb & the texture is A+, Outrageously comfortable and airy atmosphere , Sweet & personable staff

Lots of tasty treats!

So many delicious vegan treats! Lots of plant milk options too for drinks. Great bakery. Haven’t had anything savory but if their food is as good as their baked treats I’m sure it’s great.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Transparency on ingredients

Rum cake

I'm always a sucker for vegan bakeries. So I bought some cake to go even though I was already stuffed from breakfast at the other veg place nearby. Tbh I found the chocolate cake to be a little dry but the rum cake was delish. Didn't try drinks or savory treats. Would like more selection of creamy desserts as those are hard to come by in vegan form.

The staff is really nice :)

Delicious vegan pastries and savory options

This is a wonderful casual, hip cafe offering an array of choices for those with a sweet tooth, or others wanting something more savory, or perhaps both. Order at the pastry case, and then return to pick up your delights that can include scones, muffins, cookies. Coffee and other beverages available. Casual setting that allows you to linger as long as you need; quiet, spacious and comfortable.

Pros: Extensive vegan options for baked goods, Savory vegan options for a light snack, Nice staff and charming setting

Amazing

Everything was delicious, although I found the garlic in the lasagne to be too overpowering. Probably the nicest surprise was that the chai is housemade and unsweetened, and delicious! The desert/baked goods selection is extensive. The chocolate cream pie is divine!

Pros: Friendly staff, great food, good variety for vegans and GF

Cons: pricey, not great acoustics (ie it gets noisy)

Pretty Good Place For A Quick Stop

Their baked goods are great! Some are a hit or a miss with me. Their cookies are harder than I'd expected, but their peanut butter bars are always awesome... or gone. Ha! I wish they'd change up their options a bit. They don't vary them week to week so you've definitely got some limited choices. I go for their sweets, though they do have a good slice of pizza and some great macaroni and 'cheese'. I really enjoy the staff, they're always very kind, but the atmosphere to me is just mediocre and I normally don't stay long.

Pros: Staff, Baked Sweets

Cons: Not A Lot Of Options

great bakery

This is a cozy place where you can choose your items and take them to a table of your chose. The deserts are fabulous! There is a nIce variety of deserts, two soup options and other options like veggie lasagna and BBQ tofu pocket. Baristas were nice and made yummy coffee options. Everything is vegan except they offer dairy for the coffees. We had a scone and chocolate pie - items usually hard to get veganized. Both very good. Comfortable surroundings. Want to come back for lasagna or mac&chez. They also offer bread and fresh made items such as cakes you can order ahead. Definitely recommend!

lots of baked goods, a few 'meal' items

Tried the pizza slice, curry pie and mac & chez. All great home-made tasting small dishes. There isn't a huge variety but the menu had about 6-9 non bakery items including salad and soup. As far as dessert I tried a coconut cupcake and it was so-so, but I will definitely be back to try more items.

Baked goods plus pizza and lasagna

As a long-time fan of Flying Apron's packaged treats (blueberry and coconut scones, Peanut Butter Bar) at Silver Cup Coffee, and at Whole Foods (Pecan Cinnamon Roll). ((Oh, goodness, though, what are the calorie counts on these items?)) and of Flying Apron's Gluten-Free & Vegan Baking Book by Jennifer Katzinger (beautiful photos and great recipes — the Indian Curry Apron Pockets even withstood my unskilled ministrations — delicious!) — I was delighted to finally step into their Fremont shop.

The baked goods were wonderful as expected — however, the savory items were the big surprise. Their vegan lasagna served in a double-sized portion for about $7— spinach-y, oregano-y, tomato-y goodness with cashew-ricotta filling — could win the lasagna awards (is there such a thing?). The veggie-aioli pizza slice also takes best pizza (even with satisfying pizza-ness, it packs on the veggies).

You can get a wonderful Schilling Cider with the pizza slice, but it should be noted that Schilling Cider House, where you can get your choice of a sampler flight of six craft ciders (in three ounce pours) for about $13, is just down the street and around the corner. Do it if you have room. If you have the lasagna, you probably won't!

Pros: Huge lasagna, Great location, Pizza by the slice

Cons: Favorite items may be unavailable

Gluten free, vegan & good vibes

This place is recommended as a coffee house with vegan, gluten free treats. Friendly staff! Ask them what their current favourites are for good leads on what's yummy. You can hang out all day with free wifi. Half priced day olds help you keep it real on a budget. Stop in before that trip to the PCC or before a walk on the water.

Pros: Good vibes, welcoming, casual, gluten free and vegan, the workers are happy so it must be good

Cons: gluten free vegan baking is still evolving

pretty good

I had a ginger cookie, which I really enjoyed. Yes, it was a bit crumbly and off on texture, but it was delicious and generously sized! And my mother had a peanut butter bar she liked so much she went back again. Nicely done for a vegan, gf, low sugar/oil place!

Pros: good portion size, variety, healthy

Cons: texture
