Good palenta - Edit
I only had one dish: the palenta. It came in a tasty sauce. The palenta balls had something around them, either breading or maybe just a crust from the way it was cooked. Unique and different from the palenta I get in the US.

Gnocchi con uova - Edit
Volevo prendere un piatto di gnocchi dal menù vegano, ho chiesto alla cameriera se erano davvero vegani, lei è andata a chiedere in cucina e il cuoco ha detto che per far stare assieme gli gnocchi bisogna per forza usare l’uovo! Vergognoso mettere nel menu una portata non vegana spacciandola per vegana!

They have a "vegan dishes" full page on their menu, but it wasn't clear to me if the dishes really were vegan or just vegetarian.

I had the polenta as a starter (shared with my partner, the portion on the picture is half a portion) and a risotto as main dish.
Really tasty and well presented, would definitely recomend!

Excellent service and beautiful view sitting outside in the garden! We started with the insalata mista and polenta bruschetta, then had the gnocchi and pesto risotto, followed by creme brulee for dessert. Amazing and authentic!

Myself and my partner had the bruschetta to start (not bread and tomatoes, a deep fried croquette-type thing) which was a good portion but tasted deep fried. I had the asparagus risotto for main which was nice but quite salty. My partner had the gnocchi which he said was quite bland!

Delicious regional food Vegan-style - Edit
We had a great meal with Risotto, Polenta and Gnocchi. The menu has a separate page for the vegan options and all but one clearly marked as gluten free. The staff was very friendly and flexible - my daughter wanted the vegan Gnocchi with tomato sauce (which is an option for the non-vegan gnocchi) and they happily made that for her.

We was visiting Locarno during lockdown and unfortunately restaurant was open only for hotel guests. So we choosed take aways. Restaurant has a separate vegan menu. It gives some starters and main dishes. We had polenta and salad as a starter and gnocchi and risotto as a main dish. All was delicious.

The Italian cuisine offers many dishes which are naturally vegan. So while this restaurant offers no fake meat or the like, they still have diverse vegan options. You may want to try the polenta (made of ground corn), which is a local specialty. Also, the courtyard is nicely decorated and quiet.
