Perfect vegan stay

We stayed at this vegan guest house for 3 nights and it was perfect. We had some lovely vegan brownies and oak milk waiting for us on arrival. It had vegan toiletries & lots of lovely touches like ethical tea/coffee/toiletries, fairtrade bedding, high quality furnishing, lovely art work and great zines/books around veganism/social justice issues. It was great having a tour to meet the 5 sheep that the funds from the stay go to support. We also some lots of deer in the fields. It’s a very eco friendly and cozy stay. The village is very cute and there’s some nice walks and it makes a good base for exploring the area (Pitlochry, Blairgowrie, dunkeld/birnam, glenshee etc). The community store had quite a few vegan Indian ready meals which was pretty good and lots of other bits you might need to self cater. Would highly recommend this place, although a move for the owners may be on the cards so get in there soon!

A lovely stay at this vegan animal sanctuary

We stayed here for 4 nights.
Jojo is a very friendly hostess.
The income from the guesthouse goes to finance the sanctuary, which is great!
When we arrived, delicious vegan chocolate cookies were ready for us.
We got a nice tour from Jojo with the rescued sheep Martin, Mia, Murray, Matilda and Morag.
The guest house is beautifully decorated, vegan magazines and books in the living room, it's clean and it is so quiet, you only hear the birds singing.
In the morning and evening some deer come close.
This place is highly recommended for those who love animals and nature!

An absolute joy!

We stayed here for 2 nights but wish we had longer. The guesthouse is beautifully furnished, lots of vegan literature and artwork. Very cosy and comfy. Surrounded by gorgeous scenery, we seen lots of different wildlife on our morning walks....but the highlight was getting to meet Martin, Mia, Murray, Matilda and Morag, their rescue sheep 💜 there is nothing to not love about here. We love what they are building here, can't wait to return!

The loveliest!

FULL CHEF’S KISS!
Jojo and Nick who run the Field Shelter are some of the best human beings I’ve ever encountered. Not only are they doing an amazing thing here and saving cute creatures, they’re super lovely people who have created a really cozy and adorable environment for other humans to stay. I’ve not yet been lucky enough to visit since the animals have moved in, but I visited before and had a great experience, so can be sure it’s even better now. Also, Jojo is an amazing chef, particularly with baked goods.

Pros: Jojo and Nick, The baked goods!, The beauty of the surroundings

Amazing! A perfect end to our holiday

We stayed here for three nights at the end of our holiday and it was the perfect place to stay. We got to go on a tour with Jojo and meet the sheep as well as see the amazing facilities and potential they have for the sanctuary. The welcome cookies were delicious and everything we needed for our stay was laid out. Very comfortable accommodation with lots of space to stretch out and relax, with vegan options available a 10 minute walk away at the local pub if that’s what you fancy doing! We also got excellent recommendations for places to go walking and all in all had a very enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!

This place is so special

This B&B is fantastic. The cottage is super spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed is so comfy and you get a great night's sleep as the surroundings are so peaceful. Handily, there is a lovely pub 10 minutes walk away serving food, with good vegan options. Jojo is an expert host and there really is everything you need - I loved the vegan/cruelty free toiletries provided.

Jojo and her partner are currently working on making the grounds into an animal sanctuary and by staying at this B&B you are directly helping to rescue animals which makes your stay even more special. And lastly, THE BAKING! The Field Shelter B&B is an absolute paradise!

Pros: Vegan baking, Vegan ethos in everything they do, Nearby pub with vegan food options

Simply AMAZING!

Stayed one night at this wonderful b&b but cannot wait to come back. Cosy and stylish with so many little touches that make it special. Dog friendly too and Jojo was a great host. Breakfast was very delicious, and we loved the complimentary brownies too. We also ordered a lemon meringue pie from Jojo's home bakery which was gorgeous.

Pros: Gorgeous cosy cottage , Eco friendly , Wonderful food
