Great papusas! - Edit
Delicious vegan cheese and spinach papusas. Vegan options aren't on menu, but are on the website. Staff was knowledgeable about options. Food was very filling, but few options.

Good stuff - Edit
My family and I visited over the holidays and the place is cozy. The online menu has a section for vegan options but the in person menu does not. The staff was very helpful and offered some suggestions. I had the bean, spinach, and vegan cheese pupusas and they were tasty.

Long-term vegan here. Food was absolutely delicious! I didn't take pictures, but I had a cheeze loroco jalapeno pupusa and corn tamale. The beans are rich and almost creamy, very flavorful. Also, they have vegan horchata!

I get the vegan bean and jalapeño pupusas. The lady at the front is always super nice and accommodating and learned my name after just a couple visits. They have vegan rice pudding that tastes like my childhood! Love this place.

Awesome, awesome food, and they're extremely happy to serve vegans. The owner waited on our table and was excited to have vegans, and he really knew his stuff. CHEAP AF too. The restaurant is named after the owner's daughter.

Great Value and Great Service - Edit
I've never had pupusas before and this was a great place to try them out. Fernanda's has a specific vegan/vegetarian menu, which shows mostly their pupusas. The waitress was very helpful and said that the menu is not complete and needs updating. So, she pointed out some other options on their main menu than can easily be adapted for vegetarians or vegans. The pupusas can have vegan cheese instead of dairy, but they do cost a bit more. The waitress was also very helpful in catering for my partner's tomato and potato food intolerance. The meal was delicious and very good value.

Cute little authentic spot. They have a separate vegan menu. Food was awesome. I loved the plantations and tamales. It is a must. The only thing on the menu that we did not try was the custard filled empanadas, they were sold out. Kudos to Christina, the owners daughter who took care of us. Love this place and will be back when we are in town.

Disappointed - Edit
Located right next to Food For Less. I was besides myself to read here there was a place with Vegan pupusas in Palms Springs. I made it my first stop as I arrived in Palms Springs. Unfortunately, it was closed for Memorial Day. I tried going back on the next day but because it’s a little far from down town Palms Springs, I decided to call first. When I called, I asked if they had vegan pupusas and I got a big No. I asked if they just didn’t have them today and they didn’t answer my question and just said they don’t have them. So sad! I would highly recommend you to call before you go do you don’t waste your time.

Oasis In The Desert - Edit
This place is tucked away in a strip mall in Cathedral City. Thanks to Happy Cow I was able to get vegan papusas made with vegan cheese, vegan tamales, vegan horchata, vegan plantains, & vegan yucca. The staff was super accommodating and friendly and the prices were great. I highly recommend trying the spinach papusa. It was like vegan spinach dip.

Try the Pupusas! - Edit
Long-time vegan here and was super excited to learn of this restaurant offering distinct vegan options. Tucked away in a strip mall in Cathedral City (a place not known for its vegan food!), this is a hidden gem. At the owner’s encouragement I ordered the bean and the spinach pupusas - fresh, hot, and flavorful. They’re served with a mild tomato sauce on the side for dipping (or pouring over perhaps). The side salad was pickled and had a spicy kick to it. The food is very reasonably priced (3 pupusas for under $10, with salad).

Delicious Authentic Salvadoran Vegan/Vegetarian Food! - Edit
We were so happy to find out that the staff at Fernanda's was already aware of vegan options!
Read moreDuring our first visit we had pupusas (beans, loroco, spinach), refried beans and plantains and horchata; the food was delicious! During our second visit, they had vegan cheese available! They have added this to their menu, so we had tasty loroco and (vegan) cheese and beans and (vegan) cheese pupusas!
They have a separate vegan/vegetarian menu available, make sure to see it to make ordering easy.
The food is authentic, the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is nice (fun Cumbia music playing).
We can't wait until our next visit!
Pros: Authentic Salvadorian food., Great value.
