tasty middle eastern cuisine

I spent six weeks backpacking in the Middle East. Cairo was amazing. Seeing the pyramids and the sphinx of Giza. A walk through the amazing and expansive Egyptian Museum. The people showcase amazing Middle Eastern hospitality and the food is satisfying for this globe trotting vegan.

Felafela Express features a separate English menu. I had the taamia roll which is similar to a falafel wrap. It was very tasty. I also enjoyed the foul aka Egyptian street food which is cooked and mashed fava beans with oil that comes with pita bread.

Recommended!

Pros: tasty middle eastern cuisine, friendly service

Ok, inexpensive

This place was ok, I got the falafel wrap, it was ok and small so order 2 or 3. I also got foul, less good (but if you need protein). Comes up super fast. Pay at the front, then give your coupon to the counter at the back.

The person I was with ordered a chicken thing and it was a ridiculous amount of food so you can probably share with multiple people. Consider the rice option and not the "meal" unless the carnivore likes ripping meat off the bone.

Pros: Inexpensive, Protein in Cairo

Cons: Serves meat , Meh

Came back here twice!

There are huge menu for vegetarians, for vegans bit less.
Taamia it's falafel and it's very moist and crispi, vegetables are fresh.
Foul is classic foul. Everything is cheap but some portions are small. Baba ganousg is fantastic thoogh!

Pros: Very cheap, fast serving, tasty

Cons: None

Delicious and dirt cheap

I love this place! My favourite is the taamia roll which is like a falafel wrap. I’ve eaten taamia elsewhere but I think this place does it the best. I also liked trying foul, another Egyptian street food which is cooked and mashed fava beans that comes in pita bread.

Good and Cheap

The restaurant is a little crowded but they have an English menu.
I had a pasta with tomato sauce and 2 pieces of Falafel. You also can order some beans sandwiches as well

Pros: It is really cheap

Cons: They don't have many vegan options

Busy place

It's a good spot if you're looking for a quick meal on the go. Staff don't speak English, but there's an English menu on the wall (helpful if you know what the different dishes are called).
Super cheap, so you can't really go wrong with a Taamia for ~3 E£

Pros: Cheap, Tasty

Cons: Busy, Language barrier if not fluent in arabic
