Nice pace with medieval look - Edit
Nicky decorated in the style of dark medieval bar or what you would expect after watching enough of those movies.
Read moreFriendly and welcoming staff, always ready for a small chat.
Food is offered for a wide range of tastes, with 3 vegan main dishes. The 2 we had were interesting and tasty.
Pros: Food, Staff, Style
Cons: Garden area was closed but said to open soon.

great experience - Edit
First of all, you need time, if you visit this place. The kitchen prepares everything fresh, that's why you have to wait. But the waiter Gunnar is such a nice and entertaining guy! He really rocks this place! If it's your birthday he will sing for you!
Read moreThe food is very delicious! Fegefeuer does not serve boring dishes, everything is very special and refers to the main theme of the restaurant: the medieval ages. And it really fits the atmosphere to the theme!
It's a cool place to hang out, but as I said, you need time in order to really enjoy the trip.
By the way, you can take your non-vegan friends with you, they will be pleased, too!
Last but not least, the prices are moderate but a bit expensive and always check the special menu, they often serve delicious vegan desserts!
(For all the people who are afraid of dogs, there is a dog, but he's quiet.)
Pros: freshly made food, Gunnar, the waiter, authentic atmosphere
Cons: you need time, a bit expensive

Great Vegan Food! - Edit
This medieval themed place does take some getting used to, with wild boars hanging on the walls and the dim lights. But then again this is really authentic for a place like this. They do serve meat but it doesn't smell too bad, so I would consider that bearable. The menu has 4 completely vegan dishes plus some smaller items like soup or salad which are also vegan. All vegan options are marked with a little flower, so you don't have to depend on whether the waiter knows the ingredients. In my experience they do, though and answer any questions very politely. My wife and I tried two of the main dishes plus some bread with vegan onion mett as a starter. Contrary to many other places with vegan options this one doesn't serve any fast food, but freshly cooked meals of a very high quality. This may include some convenience products like mock meats, but they come with home made sauces, fresh vegetables and good side dishes. Other than that they have awesome regional beer, that you should really try!
