Best Vegan Roast in Oxford

This is alway a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

The pub is now open, but not The Feast… (yet). Looking forward to them getting going again!

Nice but waited for an hour for food

Very unorganized. We booked in advance but when we arrived they couldn't find our order. We waited for an hour to get the food, and in the end got different things than what we've asked... Food is good, nice design. But the waiting time is completely ridiculous, If you have plans for later - avoid...

So tasty

So pleased that we had booked here as the Sunday roast is so nice. The veg and roast potatoes are the best I've had for a long time. And yes they do amazing vegan Yorkshire pudding.
The portion is huge, but we just about had room for the minty delight which was very tasty.
Definitely go here, we will go again if we are in Oxford on a Sunday again.

Pros: Everything is vegan (food), Huge portion, Vegan York pudding

Cons: You must book to guarantee food

A bit too delicious...

This vegan roast made me face up to some hard truths about my eyes-bigger-than-stomach syndrome. I added so many sides and extras (and dessert) that the first time I ate here I actually made myself ill (not just a bit of a stomach ache either...). This is a testament to the deliciousness of the food! The chef is also really friendly and very happy to hear from his eager customers. As with most vegan restaurants I’ve visited, the staff genuinely seem very passionate about the food and it makes for a great atmosphere!

p.s. I’d like to assure you it wasn’t the food that made me ill, all my friends were fine and I’ve been fine ever since. I’m just that greedy.

Pros: Lots of choice, Great sides and desserts , Lovely atmosphere

Cons: Must face up to own self control issues

Great vegan roast!

Really great nut roast with all the trimmings! The cauliflower cheese was great too. Somehow managed to fit in some puddings which were both great. Deffo worth a visit if you’re in oxford and after a good Sunday roast.

Pros: Huge portion sizes , Really lovely staff and chef , Good selection of yummy puddings

Best vegan food in Oxford!

Couldn’t recommend Feast Without the Beast more. The food is cheap, delicious and imaginative. The staff who run the pop up are clearly really passionate about vegan cooking. Also make sure to try their take away desserts!

Pros: Great food, Cheap, Friendly staff

Cons: Wish it was open every day...

Brilliant vegan fayre, but beware of beer!

The vegan food itself was brilliant. I went for the kale and mushroom burger, hoping that it would defy my experiences of the usual mushroom burgers that some places flaunt as their only vegan dish, and I was not disappointed! It was fantastic! My partner went for the bbq jackfruit burger and also found it delicious.
Rare is the chance to try a place like this in Oxfordshire, so we also went a little crazy with the sides, ordering both the loaded nachos and the nut roast. I highly recommend both - the nachos were smothered in flavours (though sadly no vegan cheese!!) and the roast (mostly seeds) somehow packed the taste of an entire roast meal into a neat and sizable package of delight. The gravy for the roast was a wee bit thin, but it came in its own tiny jug so you can control the amount.
Dessert was the Minty Delight, and I can now verify that it was Minty, Delightful, and very chocolatey! Yum yum.
The premises had only vegan friendly milks, which is great for a coffee or a cuppa tea, but WARNING: Not all the beers on tap are vegan friendly. Thus is especially unfortunate when a real ale would have perfectly completemented the pub lunch aesthetic and experience.
The staff were really nice, and the chef even came out to welcome us with a warm smile. Couldn't have had a better Sunday meal.
I very much look forward to going back!

Pros: All vegan food! (really tasty, too), A good selection, excellent for return visits., Friendly and warm atmosphere.

Cons: Not many places to sit (make sure to book!) Small , Beers on tap were not vegan friendly., 2 optional sauce ramekins free, then you need to p

High quality - Excellent Food!

You've got to catch it on a Sunday, but it's really worth trying this out. The food is very well prepared and all the ingredients seemed like high quality organic ingredients. A delight and highly recommended!!
