Little gem - Edit
Fab location and decor.
Read moreStaff were friendly and very knowledgeable of vegan options.
As a coffee addict I can vouch that the coffee was top notch.
My partner and I have a vegan sausage bun each, nice and fresh with proper HP or Heinz red sauce.
Also had a vegan cinnamon bun which was lush.
They have a proper pizza oven, so we will be back to try the vegan pizza.
Highly recommend.
Pros: Location, Quality, Dog friendly

Super location - Edit
A lovely cafe by the sea with fantastic views of the pier and beach. I’ve only had the coffee and vegan brownies here which were great. I’ve heard the pizzas are good here with vegan options but prices have increased quite a bit like anywhere I suppose. I’ll definitely give Fausto another go soon

Vegan Pizza and Coffees - Edit
We were looking for a dog friendly cafe which served vegan food and coffee…. Not an easy find. This place delivered.
Read moreI managed to get a soya latte, we both managed to get vegan pizzas and my pooch was happy enough to sit there and chill.
They seemed to have quite a few vegan items on the menu both cakes and meals.
It was really nicely decorated and it also had outdoor seating. There’s a car park next door which was very convenient. It also shuts at 10pm (last orders for food at 9pm).
I would defo return if ever in the area again!

Pizza that would make an Italian weep with pride! - Edit
What can I say? These are some of the best vegan pizzas you're going to get anywhere. So good in fact that they would make an Italian mamma weep with pride. And if you look closely, you'll see that tear slowly work it's way down her withered cheek! These are full on, fresh, made from scratch and cooked in a wood fired pizza oven, and are the size of a bin lid. No bull, you'll be getting rolled out of the door because you're that full...but not before you grab one of the many vegan cakes that are on offer at the till. These pizzas are so good that Gordan Ramsey would [censored] in his chefs whites and call the chef a "mother f**king genius". And if you combine the pizza, with a vegan garlic cheese bread, a garlic mayo dip and chilli dip, then you have a vegan food heaven combo going on right there.
Read moreTrust me, if you're from the North East and you're down Roker way, get yourself into Fausto for some of their scran, you won't be disappointed. The pizzas are served every day from 4pm, but they have vegan food served before then too. They also have a selection of beers available. So all in all, they have everything you need for a good time. The staff are also fantastic too and will accommodate you in any way they can. You want something changing, they can do it for you. Everything is made from scratch, so you can have it any way you want.
My advice...get yourself down!
Pros: Fresh handmade pizzas, Can change anything you want, Dog friendly
Cons: None, Still none, See above!

In the Faust Lane - Edit
Lovely cycling themed cafe with a unique and welcoming interior which unfortunately we couldn’t fully appreciate due to the wretched pandemic but absolutely perfect for a Christmas Eve take out coffee and a sweet vegan slice to sit in the car with and watch the wild North Sea coast which it overlooks. The cranberry flapjack was delicious and made with proper bitter cranberries rather than artificially sweet ones and the chocolate brownie was rich, gooey and sticky full off raw coco pieces. There were also some vegan bagels available which I’ll give a go when I next pop down in better times and on the bike.

Lucky You - Edit
A lot has changed since my first visit, most notably a larger selection of vegan savoury options and specials are now available. Sweets and desserts are also a plenty and I would definitely recommend the blueberry bakewell slice and brownie, which were absolutely superb. Ive also tried the raw snickers cake too, which again was very tasty. Coffee is great as well. Staff are very friendly and the location and views on the marina are fantastic, making it a perfect stop off for a break or takeaway. 'Fausto' indeed.
