We went during York Restaurant Week and got a decent deal - starter and main. Starters were basically variations of hash browns with cheese and main were two burgers. Decent portion sized, flavour was okay. Service was fantastic I have to say. Well done to the Fat Hippo team, couldn’t do enough for us. Drinks are expensive.

Good for vegan burgers - Edit
Several vegan/vegetarian burgers which are clearly marked. Loved the vegetarian wachos, and the chick'n burger. Also vegan wine available. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I had one of the chicken burgers, and it was delicious. They had quite a few vegan options which was great. Very well presented and the staff were lovely.

Delicious, fair priced burgers - Edit
Good quality juicy vegan burgers and plenty of options to choose from, they offer a vegan “beef patty” or a vegan “chicken patty” the loaded fries are to die for and would 100% recommend a visit - they have a few locations and I have eaten from the York restaurant a couple of times now
