Spectacular Crossaints!! - Edit
Shelves were fairly empty upon opening, but the bagel and cream cheese were good. The strawberry cream cheese croissant was SO incredibly scrumptious, as was the almond one.

Hidden Gem - Edit
I first heard about Fat Cats at Vegfest 2023, but it took me several months to finally make my way there. I am sorry I waited so long!! The baked goods are delicious and seriously legit. The chocolate croissant wasnt just a good vegan version, but it was on par with the best non-vegan ones i have eaten (and better than many non-vegan ones!!). The muffins and cookies are also excellent. Whether you get drip coffee or espresso drinks, they are served hot and you can tell its a good quality bean. Even the decaf is delicious! Plus, the takeout coffee is served in sustainable compostable cups. Love this place!! Highly recommended.

Fantastic savory & sweet baked goods, amazing coffee - Edit
When it comes to coffee and baked goods, no one does both quite as well as Fat Cats. You can tell that the baked goods are scratch made with quality ingredients and the coffee is fantastic.
Read moreIf you're looking for something savory, you can get delicious flaky spinach or breakfast croissants, sausage and cheese kolaches, or breakfast empanadas. If you want something sweet, their cupcakes and cake are decadent and moist and their dessert croissants are always delicious.
The coffee though... that was the biggest surprise. Whether you're getting just drip coffee / espresso or a cafe con leche, latte, cold brew, it's all roasted well, made with the perfect ratios of flavor, and the cold brew even has coffee ice cubes to keep from diluting the flavor.
It's hard to be anything but a regular!
Pros: Flavorful coffee, Decadent cake and cupcakes, Flaky and buttery croissants

A quiet respite in an otherwise hectic shopping/food area. Close to the train like and bus stops.

Favorite bakery!!! - Edit
Fat Cats is my husband and I’s go to treat. Everything there is amazing and it’s so hard to make a decision!! I think my all time favorites are the empanadas (love all the types), chocolate croissant, and “tuna” croissant (when available). The mini cheesecakes and cupcakes are amazing too! It’s also cat themed which is a huge plus😄

“This doesn’t taste vegan.” - my 12 year old niece, who is not vegan and who was very impressed with her ham and cheese croissant. Really great sweet and savory baked goods!

I was surprised to see this was not listed yet. I have been here multiple times, and the pastries are as good as their non vegan counterparts. If you are like me and missing chocolate croissants, look no further!

Whoa!!!!!! - Edit
My first croissant in 5 or so years did NOT disappoint! We tried chocolate and almond croissants, the berry scone, and a couple other amazing pastries from Fat Cats. Such a treat to find great all-vegan pastries. I wish I lived next door.

Seriously delicious - Edit
If you're in the area, don't skip this place. The pastries, both sweet and savory are really good and I very much enjoy their cold brew coffee and chai latte. Lots of milk options and the whole place is vegan which is always a mad bonus.

Fabulous Lavender Latte - Edit
Ordered the lavender latte with an extra espresso shot and hemp milk -- it was fantastic! Scones are also great - just the right about of crisp on the outside, yet moist on the inside. FYI - Due to covid, it is currently pick-up only.

Purrfect little bakery - Edit
Such a sweet lil bakery Fat Cats is! They always have an above average variety of treats in the bakery case, and the coffee does not disappoint! I think they have the biggest variety of non-dairy milks offered at a coffee shop in Austin, which is rad. They have vegan Belgian waffles and many flavors of non-dairy ice cream. The baristas have been nothing but super pleasant too. Fat Cats hosts the perfect atmosphere for a cup of Joe, a treat, and gossip with a friend! Have a look on their instagram for bakery items--they make these scrumptious cinnamon rolls that, once posted on the IG, fly out the door!

Great donuts and really nice latte - Edit
Tried the matcha and chocolate truffle donuts, both of which were cake donuts. While cake donuts are not my favourite, they were really really good, and satisfied my sweet tooth craving. My latte was really good, and I enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe of the place. The service was really friendly, and they played some great music while I was there.
