Amazing fresh produce, great variety

This is a must do if you love to enjoy local farm produce. The variety of fruits, vegetables and much more were fantastic. The main area is a large tented structure (open walls, just covered with a tent-like roof). There is also an indoor building on the property where more non-produce things are sold, like bakery items, jams, knickknacks, etc. All in all, very fun to visit the Farmers Market. Highly recommend.

Pros: Tons of fruit and veggies - amazing! , Plenty of free parking , Open daily

Cons: Not much certified organic

Okay not great

It’s not what I expected. It’s okay but not worth the trip for me.

certain vendors rock!

The salsa vendor and bread vendor ALWAYS have vegan options. Also, fresh local veggies rock! Wouldn't suggest the restaurant though.

Time to enclose structure!

I've been in Raleigh for almost 9 years and can't believe we don't have monies to enclose the open market, at least in the winter months. The summer could use some covering and a/c as well, moreso for the food. I've brought watermelons that looked good but spoiled in the summer heat. And what is it with smoking farmers, conflicts with the image of a farmers' market in my opinion. Off to Harris Teeter or Whole Foods, nutrient level higher in refrigerated structures and can get organic local foods too.

Pros: good value, love the crowds

Cons: heat causes spoilage of food, smokers
