Expensive, but not bad! - Edit
My partner and I both got the napa chickpea wrap and guac/chips to split- it was expensive but the food quality was pretty good for an airport vending machine.

Saved me - Edit
With such limited options in this terminal, this option was a much needed find. The chickpea wrap was decent and the chia pudding actually quite good.

Best food in Terminal 4 - Edit
JFK Airport can be a nightmare for those who like vegan food--and in this environment, Farmer's Fridge is a standout. It is a vending machine where you choose from a set of items, a bunch of which are vegan, and you can see the ingredients for each before you buy. Each item comes in a jar, and the food is evidently replenished every day.
Read moreI have eaten here many times, it is always very satisfying. Don't get me wrong: if I were not stuck in an airport, I would probably not eat the food from this vending machine, but in JFK, this is by far the best one can hope for.

Best vegan food in T4 (but it’s a vegan desert) - Edit
The pickings are slim in T4 but this was a decent find. I had the Thai noodles which were a bit boring. Definitely needed more flavour - garlic, ginger and chili pepper - plus some protein eg tofu. But the chia seed coconut pot was really nice. I’d be happy to be served this in a decent restaurant. So one fail and one win!
Read morePros: Decent choice, Tasty chia pot, Fresh food
Cons: vegan dishes not labelled, Thai noodles pretty tasteless

Vegan Option in Terminal 4 - Edit
This was the only vegan option I could find in Terminal 4 at JFK. They have two vending machines near Gate B24. The only vegan option left was the Napa Chickpea Wrap. It was surprisingly good. Nice portion size and reasonable price. Was it exactly what I wanted? No. Was it an adequate dinner? Yes.

Pretty good for airport food - Edit
I got the chips and salsa with guacamole. There were several other vegan options, and I was just glad to have something relatively fresh to eat for lunch at JFK.

Expensive but does the job - Edit
We got the black beans bowl, the chips and guac, and the chickpea wrap. Everything was good, but it was quite pricy, and the portions were small. Best you can do at an airport, I suppose.

A snack before boarding - Edit
The wrap only cost 9 dollars and nutritionally it's fine. It's small but it's much better than the other options you find at the airport.
