Excellent Lebanese food

My wife and I ate here twice and really enjoyed it: great flavours and interesting presentations. Prices are very similar to the UK, so it is not a bargain. It has the advantage of being open during the afternoon and early evening, when some other places are closed.

Mixed experience

I ordered the salad crudites which was very tasty. I had the falafel, unfortunately these were fried in the same oil used to frie fish and meat. They didn't charge them after me letting them know why I didn't eat them. The Hummus seemed to be industrial with conservatives, as I got my typical body reaction to them. The service was very kind and helpful, paying attention. The space is actually like a quiet and green Oasis in the middle of Dakar. Prices are higher, bit so is the service.

Pros: Service, Place, Salad

Lovely Lebanese food in great setting

Definitely a lovely place to eat - not cheap at all but good! Seats are in a covered courtyard with lots of plants. Lots of accidentally vegan options (not labelled). Hummus, Tabolleh, Falafel with tahini all served with bread. So nice to eat properly after few days of not!

Delicious and many choices

This was the best meal I had in Dakar. There were plenty of vegan options available on the menu, we ended up ordering a feast. The eggplant with nuts and pomegranate sauce was fantastic. The prices are high in my opinion but it was a nice treat to get such a tasty meal with plenty of nutrients in comparison to the typical rice and veggies you get everywhere else. It was packed on a Saturday night, so I'd recommend reserving on the weekend. The staff were very kind and friendly as well.

Wonderful food, long wait

The food at restaurant Farid is simply amazing. My personal highlight is the Hindbe! Their Hummus' are vegan and the flavors of their food is great in general. Unfortunately, it can take a very long time to get the food, I recommend you order some hours ahead of time when you want to get it delivered. The food deserves the highest ranking, but the long wait is a minus. The menu is available in English and French.

Pros: Absolutely delicious, healthy, authentic

Cons: long wait, bit pricey

Great vegan choices

After a busy day out and about in Dakar, the restaurant is a great place to catch your breath and enjoy some delicious vegan food.

I had the babaganoush and tabbouleh and finished with a Turkish coffee. There were so many things I wanted to try ! The portions were considerable and the complimentary bread, pitas and olives added to the meal.

The staff were helpful and between my almost non-existent French and online translation, I managed to ask questions about the vegetarian dishes that I did not instantly know to be vegan.

Pros: A variety of vegan options, Good portion sizes, Good quality, fresh food

Cons: Towards the expensive side (dishes are around CFA

Delicious hummus and food!!

The Farid restaurant has quite a lot of options for vegans! They have different kinds of hummus (normal, basil, spicy) which are all delicous!

The falafels are very good too!

You can have a complete and good vegan meal there, from starter to dessert :)

Decoration of the restaurant is nice and you can eat on the terrace.

Pros: Quality of the food , Decoration, Terrace

Cons: Employees do not know a lot about veganism, Quite expensive for Dakar
