Great for families, kids will love it!

I find this place quite hard to review, because I usually focus on the food served in restaurants. Well, for the food: this place does have a few vegan options. Those are more of the fast food type than of the gourmet type. Not bad, but nothing fancy and, if you think just the food, a bit pricey.

But this place is also an adventure place for children and that makes it quite special. It is popular among locals and reservations are highly recommended. Upon reservation, you will be asked how many children will come, and upon arrival the children will find coloring sheets and colored pencils at their spot. There also was some fruit with a little pick in sword form for the child in our group.

I had a salad with grilled mushrooms as a starter, a "chicken" satay from the "vegetarian butcher" with peanut sauce, french fries and some side salad as main course and sorbet as dessert. All OK, no surprises (be it good or bad). We were told that our food had been prepared separately, and that we could have our cappuccino with soy milk (that was not mentioned on the menu).

The staff was super attentive and very friendly and helpful. One lady from our group does not like faux meat and she asked if she could have something which was not on the menu. She got some grilled vegetables which were nicely arranged and she said they were tasty.

The interior is very much pirate-themed, with a lot of wood which is also absorbing noise and makes the place feel cozy although it is huge and I was wondering where all the children I saw coming in were seated. The staff is wearing pirate costumes and customers can have pictures taken with disguised staff members (for example, disguised as a huge rat) . The children's corner is big and there are quite a lot of things to do (I did not take a closer look here, though). If it's a child's birthday, that's being announced on screens placed at several places.

The place in general is heavy on non-veg food and, especially when it is getting crowded that can be smelled (I wish such restaurants had veg and non-veg sections as there once were smokers and non smokers sections...).

I don't think I'd recommend this place to an adult traveler. But with kids is a great place to go to. There are not too many places which are both veg-friendly and child-friendly... and this is more that just child friendly, it's really fun. This is why I decided to go for 4 cows. No so much for the food, but for the staff and the atmosphere.

Pros: superfriendly staff, great for kids

Cons: few vegan options, can be smelly (meat, fish)
