Muzel Tov to Falafel Omisi!!!

[EDIT: July 2019]: This venue was mis-categorised as Veg Opt due to them making a one-off fish dish in 2017 (which of course is very naughty). HappyCow were contacted and have put them back into the Veg category. See photo of menu board taken June, 2018.

This place is THE BEST. The falafel pocket is soooo delicious. The chips are vegan and equally delicious. If you're with a few people, get the share plate. Sundays can be really busy, but service is still quick and it's a fun, festive atmosphere. Staff are always friendly and wear "Make Falafel Not War" T-shirts... Awesome!!

I love falafel, but hate having to go to omni kebab joints where you smell and SEE rotating dead animal. So now I only eat falafel here and at a rival vego falafel place in Northcote!!

Helpful tip: watch out for Jewish holidays, Saturdays and Fridays after 3pm, because they'll be closed.

No idea what previous reviewers are complaining about!! I've been going here for years. I say I'm vegan, they say "no worries, we'll leave out the red cabbage (dairy-based)". Prices are fair and reasonable given: a) everything is made on site, b) when you buy a frozen microwave cooked falafel from an omni kebab joint, they make more profit on the meat items, which cross-subsidises the falafel price, c) the quality is infinitely better than any omni kebab joint.

Pros: Chips are vegan and delish, Falafel is THE BEST

Cons: Closed Saturdays & Jewish holidays (but that's OK)

Amazing falafel

Such a cute little spot we happened to stumble upon. The guy that served us was so friendly and sweet. We ordered a falafel pocket and a salad. He made us a special salad and then after came over and gave us 6 free falafel balls with extra tahini. Would recommend!!

Pros: Best falafels

Cons: No too many vegan options.

Fresh and quick

The best falafel I have ever had. I always double check if there is any dairy or egg in anything eg: cabbage coleslaw. The falafel are made fresh and the pita pockets are honestly so delicious I am almost ashamed to think how many I have eaten. Bonus that it’s on UberEATS except prices are cheaper in store.

Lots of vegan options, great falafel

Still the best falafel in Melbourne. Good salads and balance of flavours. Sabich great too and can be made vegan if you skip the egg.

Pros: relatively cheap for the serving size, great falafel

Cons: standard of assembly has slipped a little recently

Fair

A viable option for Vegans, however the staff knowledge needs to be improved as to which items on the menu are suitable.

Good quality falafel but a little overpriced for the size of the portions.

Great food, friendly staff

This is an inexpensive doing take-away and withseating for eat-in customers also.

Very tasty and authentic Israeli-Yemeni food. It is all vegetarian except about 1 item on the menu has tuna.

A lot of the items on the menu have egg in them, which I don't care for, but there are still plenty of vegan option (Felafel and humous dishes).

Pros: Tasty food, Inexpensive, Friendly service

Cons: Too many items on menu with egg
