Mid - Edit
As someone who grew up middle eastern eating fresh falafel all the time this place does not even come close. The flavors are not there. When I went they didn’t have hummus???? Like what and the tahini is made with Greek yogurt. Traditional tahini is not like that. Will not be coming back.

Nice option when w/ omnivores - Edit
The falafel burger was a fave of mine back in the day and I still really enjoyed it. Just specify tahini instead of mayo and be sure to ask for their hot sauce if you like spicy.

It’s okay - Edit
Family owned shop, cash only. We were super hungry when we got here and still ate everything. None of it was bad, but here are some things that I felt made it very mid:
Read more1. Pitas not warm, idk if they were fresh, still quite pillowy though.
2. Babaghanoush not warm as well, which makes me think it’s been sitting in the fridge rather than freshly prepared.
3. Had to specify for the tahini to be vegan… what? For clarity pure tahini is already vegan. The quality either was poor or had some items mixed in, pure tahini is thin and runny, there’s was thick and gloopy. It still tasted nice but I was confused.
4. Dolmas were also cold, I expected them to be hot.
I really expected more, you definitely get enough food but it was a let down for a local shop.
Pros: Lots of veg options

Best Falafel Catering in Town - Edit
Falafel of Santa Cruz is one of the best spots in town when it comes to Mediterranean cuisine. There are a handful of similar places but I've always enjoyed the consistently high quality food that they produce.
Read moreIt's all about their vegan falafel plates. While listed as vegetarian, they are able to veganize it so that you can enjoy this hearty plate of goodness. Hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, and greens accompany your slices of pita, and is well worth it.
What really shines has been their catering service. I've ordered from them for multiple events and each time, Sam and his team have been on the ball in setting up our orders, making suggestions, coordinating deliveries, and even serving if it's a larger party. The food is always delivered on time, fresh, and has always been a hit with our attendees.
Pros: Large portions, Fantastic staffing
