We discovered this place by chance and are so glad we did. The falafel were among the best I ever had, the owners very friendly and the prices cheap. We were sad that we weren’t staying longer so we could go back.

It's way harder to find good afordable vegan food in Istanbul than we thought. Espacialy in this area. So this place was a real gamechanger. Great falalafel and sauces. The fries are suprisingly tasty as well.

Hands down my best dining experience in Istanbul - Edit
This was hands down my best dining experience in Istanbul.The food was absolutely wonderful. Their Baba Ganoush with fried pita bits was simply outstanding and with a wonderful flavour and texture.The falafael was crisp , not oily and done just right and the salad accompanying it had a delicious mint infused dresssing. However what made this dining experience extra special was the conversation and attitude I had with one of the owners who served me food. From I walked in I could feel the making and serving of food was something they approached and did with great care and compassion.My conversation with the owner confirmed this as he spoke to me about the importance of having a positive and compassionate attitude to serving the people.It was a wonderful conversation and I really encourage people to make the extra effort to find this wonderful restarant.

Falafel Köy is the last vegan restaurant left in Balat after Community Kitchen moved, and VegaNarsist stayed closed for the past 6 months. So if you're able to come by and try their falafel, you definitely should. The prices are very reasonable.
Read moreI hope this restaurant stays open and gets plenty of support so that Balat doesn't have to be such a difficult area for vegans. The service here is good, the food is yummy, and they're open late.

I’ve traveled the world and had many falafel from many countries and I do believe this is the best! They are so light and airy and crispy, just perfect. The hummus is creamy and all the sides are delicious. The owner and team are super friendly and the place is small but feels just right! Please go and support you won’t be disappointed!!!
