Satisfying & Friendly

No frills falafels. Overall presentation is on par with authentic street style food. It’s good!

Flavorless Falafel

Falafel is a comfort food of mine so I was excited to try this place…but this has to be the most flavorless falafel I’ve ever had. It was disheartening. I’ve had tons of great falafel esp in north Tampa area that this just was so bad in comparison. The grape leaves were meh. I don’t recommend at all.

Pros: Falafel was not good, The grape leaves are eh

I’ll remember not to go here. Bad falafels when you were really in the mood suck 👎🏿

Incredibly vegan friendly

I absolutely love falafel king! It is my staple here in Gainesville and I could eat it once a week if I could. I recommend getting their garlic sauce, hummus & grape leaves!!

Pros: Super yummy , Very vegan friendly

Try the Falafel Wrap

We stopped in to Falafel King while visiting Gainesville. The moment we walked in we smelled the spices of the food and it smelled wonderful. We had the Falafel Wrap which was delicious and I highly recommend. We also had the Babaganush Wrap which was ok. Our friend had the Falafel Platter which looked good. The hummus was just ok. We will definitely go back for the Falafel Wrap.

Pros: Several vegan options

Cons: Wait time for food is a bit long

Good

Nice place, filling authentic food, inexpensive. The place is a bit gloomy, no music, it needs some management care.

Pros: Vegan friendly

Cons: Atmosphere

king of Falafel land

So I don’t know what’s up with all these negative reviews but I think this place makes the best falafel wrap! I add hummus and tabuleh to inside the wrap. I get the same thing every time! I also love their baba ghanouj and tahini sauce and hummus! But those falafels with tahini and hummus and tabuleh inside a pita wrap!!!! Nam nam nam. Btw im a vegan.

Classic Falafel Place

I love the falafel platter. The falafel is nicely spiced and it seems like they bake it instead of frying which I appreciate. The place is a little old/dingy, however, the food makes up for it. They bake their own pita and the hummus and tabbouleh are also both great. The veggie kibbi platter is also a hit with us.

Pros: Classic falafel, Inexpensive

Cons: Dingy, Served in styrofoam

Tasty vegan stuff, but not likely much there that is not GMO or non-organic...

Meh.

This place is okay, but nothing special. I thought everything seemed a bit mushy (grape leaves, falafel). I was also put off by the place in general. It didn't seem clean. Dirty tables and floors. I had to wipe down our table and seats myself. The woman working behind the counter was a little bit rude. I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't go back. Overall, it felt very unwelcoming...like they would rather you take your food and get out.

Pros: Quick

Cons: Dirty, Food was mushy & thrown together, Unfriendly
