Okay - Edit
We waited for quite some time for the food and the bread and the falafel were not fully warm. It was okay, but overpriced for a restaurant.

Falafel pita bread sandwich with fries and hot drink for lunch was so cheap and tasty! Cafe is cute and service is friendly, the location is really convenient to the Imperial Garden as well.

Very nice - Edit
They had a pretty big selection of vegan food. I tried the pita falafel lunch set, which was very nice. The tofy pudding was also good, but a bit boring to in my opinion. I also had a very nice soy banana shake, which had a lot of banana flavour, and a nice consistency.

Yummy Falafel! - Edit
This was one of the best falafel I've ever had! Generous portions and the sauce and hummus were soo good. I got the medium size falafel pita and eggplant baba ghanoush side with a hot soymilk drink.
Read moreThe restaurant has limited seating downstairs, but more room upstairs. It's like being in someone's old house with high ceilings, wooden beams and cosy seating.
I will say that I didn't like the toilet though - there's only one downstairs and apparently it has a weak flush so you're not allowed to flush used toilet paper. You have to put it in a small bin at your feet and you will see what the previous person put in...it almost put me off my food.

Overpriced - Edit
Falafel was nice but the rest of the ingredients were a bit bland, the portions were not great, and over 4000 yen for 2 people... hot drinks were especially overpriced. Not much of the usual attention to detail with ingredients you get in Japan. Would not recommend personally.

Best falafel wrap I’ve ever had. It’s creamy and crunch and to die for. The hummus is also incredibly delicious. One of my favorite places to go.

The fried spicy pita side dish was amazing, as was the hummus and falafel salad. It was all very filling😄at a reasonable price.

OMG YUM - Edit
Plenty of vegan options!! Fresh and housemade Falafels and Hummus. Pita bread was amazing also. Plenty of options. Appears the main chef/owner is Israeli(?) and is therefore an expert with this food. ✌🇯🇵🌱

Excellent food - Edit
Colourful and welcoming restaurant with delicious fresh food. The most fresh salad we've consumed whilst in Japan! Every element was packed with flavour. Menu has many vegan options which are all clearly labelled. Staff are happy to discuss vegan substitutions. Best part about the experience is how healthy yet filling the meal was.

If you want to have some Middle Eastern food in Japan, head to Falafel Garden. We stopped here for a quick lunch, ordering falafel with pita, hummus, and baba ganoush. Everything was fresh, nourishing, and very tasty.

Had the large falafel pita for lunch. Picked a table near the door which would’ve sat two but I also noticed some single seats at a bench facing the front window.

Kind of disappointing - Edit
The location is very nice, but the overall experience wasn't great, and certainly not up to the reviews.
Read moreWent in the afternoon with 3 friends, we waited almost an hour despite ordering all the same thing (falafel with pita), and despite the first floor being empty. The portions were small, especially considering the price. The falafel and the sauce were ok, but not as tasty as ones I had in other places.
All considered I wouldn't come back.
Pros: Many vegan options
Cons: Small portions, Mild flavour, Long wait

Great food and atmosfair - Edit
Amazing place, I felt right at home (even though I’m from Denmark). The staff were really nice and the owner came to our table for a chat. We were two and shared a mixed plate and a piece of raw mango melt cake, both really tasty and delicious! Bought some falafels and humus to go, for my dinoer tomorrow. The place is a bit pricey, but worth it!

This spot is a perfect little gem to check out if you’re coming to Kyoto. The staff is very frendly and you won’t even notice time go by to revive your food. My friend and I stopped by while transferring trains, it was the perfect meal for a quick bite or if you want to chill. Such a cozy place and I would recommend this place to vegans and non vegans alike. The mango juice it fantastic and ordering anything on the menu will not dissappoint.
