Aegiali

The noodle salad and the springrolls are very nice and vegan.

Nice experience!

We had a really nice dinner here at Falafel in Aegiali Bay. The menu has several options suitable for vegans and vegetarians. We had a Falafel dish and Pad Thai with tofu (probably one of the few restaurants in the Ciclades where you can eat tofu). Some options come with egg and cheese but they can be made without. Loads of outdoor space and awesome 80s, 90s rock music playing. I would repeat!

Pros: Many vegan options, Good price, Nice music and atmosphere

Decent food, slightly overpriced

The food here was ok but nothing to write home about. Given the size of the platters and their quality, the prices are a bit steep compared to similar restaurants.

WHOLESOME VARIED CUISINE FOR ALL

Falafel is tucked away in a picturesque corner of Aegiali Port with plenty of cute seating on the terrace and in the street. The staff are very knowledgeable about veganism and asked us straight away whether we ate meat. The menu is fairly extensive, varied and everything seems to be served all day, however, going in September some items were not available. The atmosphere was relaxed and the decor was cool and sympathetic.
We ordered the Falafel platter (7.50€) and the Thai spring rolls (5€) between two of us. The falafel platter comes with 6 pieces, plenty of flatbread, a simple crunchy salad and hummus. Although the spring rolls only include 4 pieces (which is a little expensive for 5€), they are packed with veggies and tofu and served with 2 delicious dipping sauces. The staff were also very helpful and sorted us out with a takeaway as we were in a hurry.
I would highly recommend Falafel if you're in need of a wholesome snack, a little different to traditional Greek cuisine available on Amorgos. Regardless of personal taste, dietary requirements or time of day, you'll find something to satisfy you in Falafel !

Pros: varied cuisine eg Middle Eastern, Thai etc, very knowledgeable/helpful staff , cute vibe (plenty of friendly cats too 🐈)

Cons: some items a little expensive - but worth it imo!
