Serves meat, vegan options available. This newly remodeled restaurant offers tofu and veggie chicken as vegan/vegetarian choices. Open Mon-Fri 11:00am-3:00pm, 5:00pm-10:00pm, Sat 11:30am-10:00pm, Sun 11:30am-9:30pm.
Recently remodeled and expanded, both seating and menu. Quite a few more options including jackfruit as an option in addition to tofu on some items. The new dishes are also unique to the area rather than just versions of the same dishes at the other area Thai restaurants.
Exotic Thai has a lovely quiet ambience and serene atmosphere. The menu notates vegan options, and with their online ordering you can easily click which ingredients you'd like omitted. Even though it's a small restaurant, they do a lot with the space to make it appealing. The food is delicious and well spiced. My favorites are Kang Dang and Spicy Basil Noodles with tofu. The noodles usually come with egg, so you have to request that it be omitted. The portions are enormous and easily provide enough for two meals. Don't forget the freshly made pickled jalapenos!
Not sure if anything is vegan there anymore. - Edit
Now that they’ve removed the “veggie chicken” I would guess tofu would be the only option. I was never really sure if the veggie chicken was really vegan anyway.
I would not risk it if you really want vegan rather than vegetarian.
Nice restaurant with all vegetarian options listed and will work with you to make it vegan. Also lists GF options. They were helpful when asking about ingredients and very friendly. Overall the food was delicious!
There are vegetarian options outlined in the menu and they have "vegetarian chicken" listed as an option but the staff refused to tell me what brand the vegetarian chicken was when I was trying to determine if it was vegan. They were very rude and unwilling to answer, instead they just stared at me.
They must have updated their menu since one of the previous reviewers went - the menu labels vegetarian options and even says at the bottom to tell the server about allergies and ingredient concerns. I love it here! the veggie "chicken" is extremely convincing, too!
