Local gem - Edit
This place is easily one of my favorite spots in China. The food is delicious and affordable, which is always a win. The staff is super kind and helpful, although they can’t speak English. I’ve probably worked my way through the entire menu at this point, and honestly, I can’t even pick a favorite — though the fried mushrooms are next-level good. Highly recommend! 💕

After 9 months away from Shanghai it's great to see this place still thriving at lunch time. The food is fast, cheap & good as ever.
Read moreMy girlfriend discovered this place not far from her office & today I finally got to try it for myself. As you cross the road it's just to your right on the first floor of the corner building. We arrived at 12 & it was quite busy already, it seems popular with the local workers as the prices are low. We had 4 dishes & 2 alcohol free beers for 92 rmb and that fed 3 of us adequately. The menu isn't in English & the staff don't speak any either so it's a case of pointing at what you want. We had the black bean noodles, dumplings, fried green beans with mushrooms & a fake meat dish. It was all great, fresh & tasty, I look forward to going back to try out more of their menu. It's a cute cafe style, will be interesting to see how it is in the evening.

Excellent Restaurant - Edit
Easy enough to find, don’t use the map on happy cow but use the address. It is on the ground floor -street level in the 360 Tianlin East Road building but on the Qinzhou Road side. Excellent select of food and good service.
Read moreI had the dry pot mianxiang chilli tofu which was great and the mixed chow mien which was mild. Both dishes were really tasty. The portions sizes of generous, 1 dish is enough to share.
