Decent - Edit
The food wasn’t the most amazing I’ve had but it’s decently priced and will be a good meal. But the portion will not make you full.

Fukuoka favorite - Edit
Love this place. They have lots of vegan Bentos and salads and sandwiches. My favorite is taco rice and the vegan karaage Bento.

Good bentos - Edit
I did not see anything not vegan in their bentos (I visited 3 shops), but they sell instant soups and sweet stuff and those are not vegan.

Cute place - Edit
As described they serve fish, however the dorayaki contains egg and the soups in the fridge contain chicken, so be careful what you pick out😄

Endlich ein Laden mit Bentos, der nicht nur Fisch uns Fleisch anbietet. Der Preis war super und das Essen, was man dafür bekommen hat, sehr gut.

Nice enough - not all vegan - Edit
Nice food - mainly bento boxes and Japanese style sets. Nothing very exciting, but definitely a good option if you are near the station.
Read moreHowever, they have several bento-boxes that contain fish in them. This is clearly marked, but do watch out - not everything here is vegan!

Great vegan food for low prices - Edit
Cute little place with a variety of bento boxes. All vegan, all delicious. And prices are more than acceptable - around 600 yen per box and 30% discount if you buy 2 or more. At least in the evening (we were here twice at around 7pm).

A tasty fast choice - Edit
It's a great grab-and-go option if you're busy, basically all but one or two of the choices are vegan (ask). The Tenjin location has two tiny tables to eat at. Maybe one-day the packaging can all be eco-friendly.

Vegan Bento - Edit
After having lunch from the JR Hakata branch, we thought we might as well get some dinner from the branch near our hotel. We got there about an hour before closing, and all the bento boxes were half off!! They were reasonably priced to begin with, but this way we ended up with excellent and even cheaper dinner!
Read moreThis is more of a shop with a bento counter, so there are more vegan staples to purchase as well.

Tasty, but I found the portion small - Edit
Cleyson has the location right. It's at B2F of the Iwataya store.

Decent vegan food on the go - Edit
I was with a group of vegan friend and got a bento and a matcha bun thing. Only just now I read a previous review stating that not all the buns are vegan and now I'm wondering if the matcha one I had was vegan!! :-(
Read moreThe food here is nice, I wouldn't say it was the best vegan food I've ever had but it's tasty and convenient (comes with a lot of plastic unfortunately). I refused the bag but this isn't a sit-down eatery, more of a bento takeaway place with some sweets to go as well.
All in all, I'm grateful for this place but it's not really anything to write home about, and I'm concerned after reading the previous review stating that not all items here are vegan. I'd assumed that all items labelled "vegan" are... well, um, vegan.
Pros: convenient, central tenjin, decent taste, nice sweets
Cons: check labels as not all items may be vegan, lots of plastic

Great location - Edit
It’s a great vegan takeout option to have in Tenjin. They do also have a couple of small tables inside now. The only negative is that after a while you wish they changed their bentos a bit... they’re always the same. Note: there seems to be some confusion about the location: this one is on the second floor, just outside the platform as you get off the Nishitetsu train, one floor up from the large screen which doubles as a favorite meeting point in Tenjin.
Read morePros: Lots of vegan options , Inexpensive, Easily accessible
Cons: Not environmentally friendly packaging, The bento options never change

Delicious vegan bento, but be careful of non-vegan cream buns - Edit

This Evah store is inside Reganet supermarket on the B1 level of the Solaria Stage shopping center. Take the metro to Tenjin station and follow the signs.
Like other stores, they sell vegan bentos and onigiri. They also have a grocery section selling fresh produce and some other products.
However, at the time of visit, they have some cream-filled buns that are not vegan. Only 2 flavors are vegan as far as I know. One of which is this soybean flour flavor. Please check carefully or ask the helpful staff.
When it’s around closing time, they will have this sign saying that it’s on discount.
Pros: Tasty vegan bento , Friendly Staff, Convenience location near Tenjin shopping area
Cons: Most of the cream buns are not vegan

Not totally vegan! - Edit
While this is very vegan friendly, and I believe their bento boxes are vegan, their buns are not despite their logo mentioning being vegan. The staff knows which ones have milk to don’t be afraid to ask.

I paid 648¥ for a bento with a variety of super tasty food! Totally coming back!

Delicious vegan bento - Edit
After struggling to find this place for a bit I was relieved to find such tasty and inexpensive vegan food. Really great and it's such a nice thing in Japan to find 100% vegan food.
Read moreTo expand on the directions - it's in the IWATAYA department store on B1F. It is about 5-8 minutes walk from Tenjin station in the underground arcade. There's a tourist information stand which can guide you - I recommend showing them the map on the Evah Dining Macrobiotic website (which has the proper location).
Pros: Cheap (540 yen for a bento box), Yummy
Cons: Difficult to find
