Long wait for mediocre food - Edit
Went at lunch time, was really busy with a wait of 40 minutes. The vegan pizza's crust felt like the frozen pizzas at the store. Toppings were good, but the crust really ruined it.

Nice building , unfriendly service - Edit
Just stopped for a coffee here on a Sunday afternoon. What a beautiful building and great music playing but the greeting by the lady behind the counter was most unfriendly - surely. I felt like we were imposing. Hate that feeling.

Good homely vegan food in an arty building - Edit
I had an enormous and excellent vegan burger. Just a really good burger, but with a home made legume patty

Quirky, but poor sevice - Edit
Quirky building with a limited number of Vegan options. They forgot to make our Pizza and didn't apologise. When I mentioned it to the staff member he response was "I'm not in the kitchen so it's not my job."
Read moreThe manager came out and apologised, so I've upgraded the review. They look badly understaffed given how busy they were.

A magical place. - Edit
This place is like walking into another world. Beautiful! And the vegan mushroom pizza and vegan fried mushrooms are delicious.

We stopped for the architecture!.... - Edit
Cruising through Kaiwaka we saw this funky cafe & stopped to check out the building. Didn't realise it was on the Cow and when we saw the good looking falafel salad wraps, stayed for lunch. They were good...fresh with good flavour.
Read moreA few plant based menu and cabinet options here. Savoury and sweet. Vegan cheese is an option on the Pizza menu which is cool.
Worth a look and a photo or two. Unusual & cool.
Pros: Some plant based options. Very funky cafe!

Interesting place to stop - Edit
Driving north from Auckland, we stopped here for lunch. The number of vegan selections were underwhelming; basically falafels and hummus and a pizza with optional vegan cheese and a couple of desserts. Hubby and I opted for the falafel and hummus salad, which was tasty. The cafe itself is interesting, with domed eating areas and lots of mosaic tile work. For some place that apparently started as a vegan/vegetarian cafe, we were disappointed that those options had diminished so significantly, but we left satisfied with our meal.

Cons: Very few vegan choices

Road trip lunch break - Edit
We stopped off for lunch at the big papier-mache boat, aka Eutopia Cafe, on our way up north. There were just a few vegan options on the menu, we had a toasted sandwich each and a huuuuge chili chocolate cookie to share. Not the best cafe food ever, but satisfying enough and super glad to have somewhere to stop off, have a stretch and a pleasant sit-down before continuing on our journey.

AWESOME FOOD COFFEE & SERVICE - Edit
You can't miss this colourful boat come temple cafe on SH1 in Kaiwaka. It's fun and funky with a take us as you find us ethos. Allpress coffee superbly made and a real interest in what you actually do and don't want to eat means this little place is high up on my list and they let you know what is organic and what is spray free and generally locally sourced - just a shame I don't live locally. Will be back :)

Excellent coffee break - Edit
I had a cappuccino and a latte ('flat white'), which were both excellent. The cafe itself is housed in a unique building that looks like a boat, with mosaic installations and a courtyard with a fountain. It's a pleasant place for a coffee break; recommended.
