Great fine dining experience - Edit
I loved my experience at Europea! The service was perfect. The menu is well elaborated and original. They explore all kind of flavors with so many different ingredients. You also get to do a tour of the kitchen to see how everything is made. My boyfriend and I had the vegan gastronomic experience in 8 services and even though some of the plates are really small, at the end it’s a LOT of food. There were too many desserts, so we brought back some of them at home. My only concern is that even though the menu is labelled VEGAN, I am not entirely sure everything was vegan. I say that because at the beginning of the first service, they brought us a boiled egg and parmesan cookies, which we refused. It was obvious that it was not vegan, because of how they presented the food when they brought it to our table. Some of the other plates were much more complicated, so I can’t be entirely sure everything was vegan... maybe the boiled egg and the parmesan cookies were just a mistake...

I’m always searching for veg tasting menus. As a vegan, I’m bored with hummus wraps and hemp seed salads. So when I found Europea, I was delighted. We debated between the 5 course and 10 course menu, and chose the 5 course. Portions were way bigger than normal tasting menus. They also offered an amuse bouche, bread service, and a bonus treat. Needless to say, it was a lot of food! And the effort to put forth veg options and present them so beautifully is worth 5 stars.
Read moreI gave 4 stars for 2 reasons. The main course of roasted root vegetables was bland. I mean, bland. Also, there were 2 courses of sweets which was 1 too many. Despite this, I would go back again and try the 10 course.

Creative and Amazing - Edit
This was one of the first high end restaurant I went to since becoming vegan and as Quebec isn't exactly a vegan Mecca, I didn't now what to expect. What a fantastic surprise! Because my husband wanted a tasting menu, I chose the vegetarian tasting menu for my dinner and each course was absolutely fantastic, and most were vegan. Not only that instead of relying on breads and pastas, most courses were whole food plant based. The service is some of the best I have experienced, any where in the world. It is expensive but it was 4 hours of bliss. A restaurant not to be missed.
