Must-stop for any Oaxacan visit

Etnofood is a must stop if you are in Oaxaca especially if you are vegan or vegetarian. It has a bar that serves crazy-good mezcal cocktails, and a sitting area and a wonderful back patio and garden that serves crazy-good Oaxacan food.

More than just a bar & restaurant, Etnofood is a foodlab built around a team of very dedicated cooks who want to share their love and knowledge of the local cuisine. They provide cooking and chocolate making workshops, mezcal tasting, and mixology courses.

Their goal is nothing short of building a community centered around sustainability and optimal yumminess. Really, if you’re in Oaxaca, this place is not-to-be-missed.

Amazing atmosphere, delicious food, friendly staff!

I LOVED this place! The menu is extensive and includes toasts, bowls, hot and cold drinks including delicious Oaxacan chocolate and golden milk. They have soy chorizo which I love! They also have amazing desserts. The restaurant itself is super cute with a beautiful outdoor garden😄

Pros: Lots of variety on the menu, Outdoor garden seating, Super friendly staff

Cons: Nothing!

@Etnofood community, a foodlab and open kitchen for all tastes.

Our project is a foodlab, we were born to share knowledge about the kitchen, we love to cook and we love to share our experience, within this we want to share our knowledge around one of the milnerias cuisine, the Mexican, but specifically the Oaxacan.

Our culture has many local products based 100% on native plants. Our project has several vegan proposals and vegetarian options, we specialize in courses and workshops to make various products, such as cooking classes, mixology or mezcal tasting or making your own chocolate.

See you in etnofood, because as vegetarians and vegans we are a global community and friends without knowing each other.

For a greener, tastier and more sustainable world.

Pros: Vegan moles and cooked to order., They have a nice garden and open patio., The team knows about the vegan philosophy

Cons: It is a team of 6 people, The prices are very cheap, It is 3 blocks from the tourist walkway
