Great place - Edit
I'm not from the area so I only stop when I rarely pass by going to various jobs, so, I take every chance to get a quick coffee and cake. I love this place, the coffee has always been great, they use Wood St Coffee which are based on Saffron Walden. Unfortunately I naver had a meal so can't comment on this although I'm sure it's great too. Hopefully we'll do a bike ride in one weekend not that THE SPRING IS COMING!!! to have lunch here 😊

Decent a healthy food - Edit
I was really excited to visit this place as I have been meaning to do so for a while. Started a bit disappointing as when we got there, no one acknowledged us for quite a while even though it's a small space. The lady behind the counter didn't even look at us. We weren't aware that's where we were supposed to order but after a while we figured it out. We went for a daily stew and 2 slices of sourdough toast - one with scrambled tofu and spinach and one with homemade hummus, sundried tomatoes and avocado. The toasts were delicious, however the stew was a bit bland. We then order two cakes - apple and carrot ones with 2 flat whites and those were really nice. Amazing coffee too. Over all, as mentioned in the title: decent and healthy food. Would come again if we lived closer. They also offer babycinos and puppucinos. They run out of dog biscuits so Otis got a piece of toast with peanut butter and he loved it 😊

Finally managed to get here as it’s bit of trek for me. However it was worth the wait! The açai bowl was incredible & reminds me of my time in Brazil. The sausage rolls are fantastic too, as are the cakes! Defo recommend

Coffee review - Edit
We got there too late to order food (I blame the clocks changing) but even though they were closing they still made us a coffee to takeaway. It was one of the best coffees I've had in a long time, and I only wish we'd been able to try their food too!

Great little discovery - Edit
Really pleased to come across this place in an unusual rural setting with amazing smells greeting us as we opened the door! Friendly staff and delicious food. We had pancakes, excellent coffee and took away the nicest of polenta cake. Shame we don't live nearer as it seemed a great place just to hang out in.

Talk about a hidden gem - Edit
This place is amazing. It's completely hidden and as far as I could see isn't signposted at all from the road, but Google maps got us there after a visit to the nearby nuclear bunker.

Another Secret in Kelvedon Hatch - Edit
We drove past the turning for Ethos Brothers Cafe several times. It is well off the road and has no sign up. But oh boy it was worth the hunt. The atmosphere was so friendly, the food was wonderful. I had the Macaroni Cheese and Tofu and my good wife had the Burger, both accompanied by Chai Latte. Other customers openly chatted with us and each other. Altogether the whole experience was refreshing.

A little gem 😍 - Edit
A great little cafe. Completely vegan. Offers a great varied menu for anything you could want from a cafe. All staff are lovely, welcoming and friendly. The tempeh kebabs and pancakes were delicious.. as were the cakes we took home for later. Also they have a little section for some awesome vegan snacks, books and goodies. Highly recommend and already can see myself as a regular there. Plus my dog was welcomed with open arms - and yes there's treats for her too 👌 what more could you want?!

Just relax and enjoy! - Edit
It’s so amazing to be able to walk into a place that serves entirely vegan food, outside of London, so you don’t have to present the staff with a checklist of questions about ingredients before you order! Along with the relaxed, friendly vibe, you will be spoilt for choice from the menu! My husband had challenged himself to work through it week by week but finds it hard to tear himself away from the avocado/hummus on sourdough! He did however choose the new tofu/mac and cheese yesterday, it didn’t disappoint and is his new joint fave! I find it too hard not to order the pancakes! But whatever you choose you won’t be disappointed! The ingredients are fresh, the presentation is mouth watering and the portions are generous!
Read moreEthos Brothers is a great place if you just fancy coffee and cake, again so much choice, the doughnuts are melt in the mouth and Anna’s apple cake is the stuff of legends!
We just moved from Oxford to Brentwood and are so lucky to have these great guys on our doorstep! Look forward to seeing them continue to go from strength to strength waving the vegan flag!
