Delicious and with many vegan options

We went for dinner on a Friday. So we could choose from the fully vegan buffet.

The staff was very kind and friendly.

Besides the buffet, we got a nice freshly made ginger tea.

Good but not the best

Definitely worth a visit but it's not the best ethiopian restaurant in Stockholm. I ate here during the evening, I would like to try the buffet though.

Genuine Ethiopian food

I have been to EthioStar twice. A few years ago we got a vegan option that included wheat and teff injera and 5-6 stews. You can ask them to refill.
This Friday we had an all-vegan buffet. A selection of 10 stews, the injera and bread.
Their food is fantastic. The spinach was divine.
I love the atmosphere as well.
It is a shame they only have one vegan dessert (sorbet), especially that they did not have it this time.

Vegan injera

Genuine Ethiopian restaurant with a separate vegan menu. You can also order a vegan buffet to your table which means you get injera with 7 vegan dishes and salad. Coffee included. All for SEK 205 per person. Plenty of food and very tasty! Nice and friendly service.

Amazing food

Loved the food here and the staff were so lovely. We’ve never had Ethiopian food before and they talked us through the dishes and even showed us how to eat the food in the correct way. The vegan dishes are marked - we had the 8 taster vegan dishes (must be a minimum of 2 people eating) and they refilled the dishes that we liked the most. Highly recommend.

Pros: Labelled vegan options , Great tasting food , Friendly staff

All vegan buffet on Fridays!

Delicious food with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere!

On Fridays there's an all vegan buffet with plenty to chose from, perfect to try a wide variety of vegan dishes (around 12 plus injera "flatbreads"). Tea or coffee is included.

During the rest of the week, you can order from the menu an 8 dish vegan menu for a minimum of two persons.

Great Ethiopian vegan buffet

The Ethiopian cuisine has many vegetarian dishes which are really tasty. The vegan buffet that is offered here at certain occasions is fantastic to test some veg-food that you normally will not come across.

The injeera-bread which you eat everything with comes in two versions, the traditinal darker teff-based (choose this!) and one that is mixed teff and wheat. Many of the courses are based on lentils in different sauces, spices and vegetables.

All food is delicious, my favourite is the ground lentils with teff-injeera! Like many traditional cuisines it's healthy food and the only health risk here is that you eat too much :)

Fantastic vegan buffet

I love Ethiopian cuisine and this place did not disappoint. I was there together with a large group and we all had the vegan buffet (about 180 SEK each). The menu was a bit confusing but just ask the staff and they can help you. They understand what vegan is.

The interior was beautiful with Ethiopian decorations. There was Ethiopian (or maybe similar) music playing which I really enjoyed.

After some time the food started coming out and let me tell you, it was great. The food was served in bowls which you took food from and put on your own plate. Then you passed it along to the others. There were so many new flavors and dishes that I hadn't tried before. I loved it. The waiters were always nearby to replace anything we ran out of with a new bowl. Infinite deliciousness! I ate until I couldn't take anymore.

This place will definitely be a contender for future dinners.

One of Stockholms best Ethiopian Restaurants!

Centrally located close to T stop Radmansgatan and next to a park you find this great restaurant. Their 4 or 8 dish are both amazingly delisious and quite filling. Extra plus for that you can always request a teff (gluten free) injeera, not all restuarnts have that.

Pros: Central location, Great staff, Gluten free options

Cons: Sometimes long wait times
