Saturday brunch

Ran out of vegan tofu scramble but rest of vegan brekkie was fine. Substituted some regular tofu.
Vegan sausage patty only so so
Double chocolate cookie to go
Hope to get the full brekkie experience in future
Great outdoor eating area under the trees

Good

I love the vegan Benedict. It’s often super busy though.

Best Breakfast ever

Still dreaming about the vegan brekkie plate with my soy latte!! The tofu scramble was great, the mushrooms was one of the best things on the plate, and the sourdough was great. The out door dining space was so spacious, lots of seating options.

Phenomenal coffee; Food ok

The espresso is some of the best I’ve ever had. Although it was busy, the barista devoted all of their attention to one drink at a time, and it showed! The wait was 100% worth it. There are plenty of vegan milks to choose from.
The menu has clearly labeled vegan options, although some of the descriptions include cheese, yogurt, sour cream, so be careful to specify that you want it vegan.
We ordered the vegan brekkie, and it was okay. The veggies were cooked well, and the sausage (I think it was gardein?) was good. The tofu scramble, however, was disappointing. It tasted like turmeric and not much else. It would have been better with some salt and pepper, but due to COVID, there were no condiments on the table. The toast was also plain, but there were no jams or vegan butters available.

Adore this place!

Enjoyed a great brunch here today - not many vegan food options but the options available are fantastic. All food is also locally sourced and all farms involved are mentioned on the menu. There are also various vegan baked goods available. Drinks can be made vegan and the staff was great and let us know immediately when we tried to order a drink that couldn’t be made vegan.

Pros: Great atmosphere, Great food

Great vegan breakfast

We came for the coffee on the basis there may be a bit of vegan substitution to be had. But three decent vegan options front and centre. Really enjoyed the vegan brekkie

Excellent

This is a great place, whether you want a full meal, a snack, or just a tea/coffee. I enjoy coming here in the middle to late afternoon to get some work done and then reward myself with one of their amazing raspberry frosting vegan cupcakes. They’re divine. The setting is also inviting and comfortable and the staff are welcoming, so it’s perfect for doing work or reading.
I’ve also come here once for brunch. They have just a handful of vegan options, but the options are quality. My breakfast combo was really tasty, and I quite enjoyed the veggie sausage.

Pros: Great cupcakes, Good place to work or read

sit and work & eat well too !

This is a casual cafe where you can sit for hours, but the decor is nice... good lighting, nice tables etc. It's a unique place because of the quality and also the fact that they are laid back about the format of the place. You order at the counter, they bring it to your table, you can bus your own table if you want to ... or not... they'll periodically come by and clear stuff.

More importantly: BEST VEGAN BREKKIE EVER. It is exactly what a vegan breakfast could and should be, and at esselon, it IS! This dish consists of healthy amounts of each: scrambled tofu, fried/marinated mushrooms, sauteed spinach, roasted half of tomato, bunch of slices of avacado, small green salad with olive oil and cucumbers, sourdough bread, and vegan sausage if you ask for it. OMG sooooo much goodness in one place, your plate, and your tummy.

They also have a great vegan burger and vegan chili burrito. So many times I just go for the coffee and sit and work, so I get the vegan soup of the day (usually lentil) with bread. Everything is quality at esselon.

Almost forgot, their outside summer seating is the best in amherst/hadley area ... so lovely! You have the option of the porch or also out **among the trees and garden** !! So many days I have sat out there gazing at the flowers, sipping a drink and writing.

Pros: free parking, next to 91 exit, sit all day, it's OK

Cons: crowded parking, sundays are insane, too popular

Good vegan brunch-ish options

Esselon offers a vegan Benedict and a breakfast scramble that look like small portions but are satisfying. Soups are sometimes vegan, and salad options are available. Staff are always knowledgeable about the vegan options, and baked goods and desserts are sometimes offered. I agree with the previous posting that the coffee is superb, and in addition the tea menu is extensive. This is a great destination for groups of vegans and non-vegans, as omnivores love the menu. The atmosphere is fun, open, and sometimes loud as it is a popular, bustling cafe. Outdoor and semi-outdoor seating is available.

Pros: Fun atmosphere, Excellent coffee, Always vegan options available

Cons: Can be pricey, Vegan options are not always extensive, Can be very crowded

Great coffee

The best soy lattes around. Super friendly staff. Vegan sausage and tofu scramble, as well as vegan-GF cupcakes from Woodstar cafe in Noho. Sort of pricey, but nothing out of the ordinary for the area. The atmosphere is nice, can feel crowded. The ceilings are beautiful! Outside seating available and really nice in spring/summer.

Pros: ambiance , Coffee is amazing, Friendly staff

Cons: $$
