We came here based on the reviews and it was absolutely worth it. We had fries, chickpea balls, eggplant imam, a mushroom pie and the smashed fava beans. Everything was uniquely good and filling. The owner was so friendly and spoke perfect English. We also got a dessert on the house. It was also very reasonably priced. Food, ambience, service - five stars in every respect.

The waitress was very friendly and the food came quickly- we had fava, chickpea balls, tabbouleh, aubergine salad, and vine leaves. All delicious. And we were given a complementary vegan dessert! Very good value for money

The staff was super nice and asked if we had any food allergies or restrictions before we ordered. All the starters were vegetarian or vegan so I had a lot to choose from. The lady came to change our water jug in the middle of the meal for a fresh one (since it was a hot day). Would definitely return!

Best vegan options in Ioannina - Edit
We stopped on our way back from summer vacation. As vegans we always double check a menu at any restaurant. The first thing we got asked about before we were given the menu was if we have any dietary restrictions. That shows how deeply they understand veganism or any other diet. The owner is super polite with a constant smile on her face. She told us that one of her daughters is vegan, thus the vegan option on the menu. The food is amazing, especially the mushroom pita and the ntakos. I strongly recommend this place if you're looking for good vegan or vegetarian food or even if you have any food allergies. They are going to take good care of you and you'll enjoy some really tasty food.

Amazing hospitality and best food we had in Greece. We are a vegan family and there are so many delicious options and the owner was very happy to run us through the menu. Also, the owner came up with vegan options off the menu for us. The menu has very clear vegan marks, highly recommended for vegans and non-vegans!

We didn't get much food, but everything we got was actually delicious and the owner lady was the sweetest ever. Place was also very cute in a hip neighborhood. Ohh, also super super affordable.

Great place with lots of vegan and vegetarian options, many of which can be altered to fit vegan diets! Some of them that we tried were Fava beans, Baked Eggplant, Spinach and Fennel pie, Fried Chickpea Balls, and a fresh and well cared for Greek Salad with Feta cheese on the side (as per our request). Hostess is really kind and speaks excellent English, and really prioritises others' diets and restrictions. Coupled with a big variety of both local and Foreign beers, it's a must visit to those who want a great experience.

If you stay in Ioannina, you have to visit this lovely place! Great vegetarian and vegan options. Staff is very friendly and helpfull and explains, if wanted. (English-speaking). Great taste and size of portions. Absolutely loved it!

Delicious vegan options - Edit
Finding vegan options in Ioannina city is tricky, glad we came across Epikairo and had the chance to try delicious food such as sautéed mushrooms with onions, fava beans, chickpea balls, baked eggplant and tabouleh salad! We were so full and satisfied but sad we couldn't try more! Almost half of the menu is vegetarian and vegan and some vegetarian dishes can be altered (remove cheese etc) to fit the vegan standards, as the lovely owner said who was very helpful and showed a big interest in us and explained the menu in great detail! Will definitely visit again!
