We drove about an hour to try this deli and it did not disappoint! I debated what to try because everything sounded really good. I chose the Chorizo Crunchwrap and it was amazing! Very flavorful. There was also a vegan gyro, elote impossible burger, and one other option on the menu. I was very sad the milkshakes were not available because the thin mint one sounded incredible. They did have vegan cheesecake but I didn’t try it. I will definitely be returning when I am in IL again.

Stay away. This place has gone down hill so hard. In just the past few years the prices have absolutely SKYROCKETED and the portions have gotten smaller. The owner should be required to post their profit margins so everyone can see how greedy the owners are.

Great Vegan Food in the Midwest - Edit
The restaurant is clean and very nicely decorated with friendly staff. They have a separate vegan menu that has many options to choose from. A rare find in this part of the country! I got the vegan blue moon shake and the dream weapon, both of which were so good! The only downside were the prices but it was worth it. I will definitely be back!

We made the drive once so far and tried almost the entire vegan menu. Creative toppings and flavor combinations. I'd definitely check out their vegan menu on Facebook before heading out to make sure they are offering something you like. My husband said they cooked the beyond burger really well. The killer was the milkshake with coconut cream whipped topping. So incredibly rich and creamy. Easily the best milkshake I've had - (even Chicago Diner shakes come in a close second for me!) It put us out $55 but we got two sandwiches, two milkshakes and chili cheese fries (all vegan). Also, if you like to eat your chili fries with a fork, bring your own. These are the smallest, flimsiest plastic forks ever and are not functional.

I love Epic Deli! They have far more vegan options than most in the area and they always have monthly specials with different vegan options on top of their regular options. Their specials are creative and unlike anything you can find in the area

This place was absolutely delicious. I really appreciate that there is a completely separate vegan menu and it has some really great choices. I got the seasonal Dream Weapon sandwich, which was perfect with it's Buffalo sauce and pretzel bun. Will definitely be going back to try a vegan milkshake soon!

Been coming here for many years. The last time we ordered ahead and we were told 15 minutes. We ended up waiting over 53 minutes for our food. They explained their kitchen was backed up but we saw plenty of orders placed and fulfilled during that time. Even one of the employees wasn't happy with how long they took for our order and then when it came out the runner tried to charge us again for our food. The food was good just the service is what ruined it for us.

I’ve been here a few times over the years when traveling back from Wisconsin and have never been very impressed. No house made veggie burger, they use Beyond and similar. Limited vegan options. Expensive for what you get. Disappointing shakes. The tacos I had last time were good though.

Family enjoyed the beyond burger, I ordered the tacos. Tacos were a bit underwhelming however they had a few options for vegans. Including milkshakes!!!! And tons of options for omni friends and family.

Read moreThey have a weekly rotating vegan menu that contains 4-6 items. I had the Beyond Burger special that had vegan provolone, pizza sauce, peppers, etc. Hands down, one of the best vegan burgers i've had. It was messy and oh so good. Junk food heaven.
They really try to cater to us vegans and I'm super appreciative of that. It was pricy but at least there's options. Two vegan burger combos came out to about $26 with tax.
I will be back....a lot!

This place is amazing vegan options. They don't appear to be listed on their website but they do a weekly update on their facebook with the weekly specials. All sorts of comfort food changing weekly such as fries, nachos, meatball subs, chicken sandwiches, and burgers.
