Great restaurant, not for vegans though - Edit
Our group was a mix of meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans. The food was lovely and the meat eaters/vegetarians agreed it was the best meal they all had on our holiday. We'd eaten at some lovely places all week, so that's great praise from them!
Read moreAs a vegan, it wasn't a great experience for me. The food was all delicious, so I'm not complaining about the quality! I really didn't want the vegan burger (we see enough of those in UK), so I did the best I could to order a different vegan meal guided by the allergen info on the menu. The starter and salad that they made for me were different to the menu due to supply issues and our beers were changed when brought to the table (again due to supply). I think that everything I ate there was vegan, but I wouldn't be 100% confident!
I'd be hesitant to recommend this restaurant to someone who has strict dietary requirements because the menu may not match what's available on the day. However, if you are veggie and have no other strict dietary requirements then Emma is a wonderful little restarurant and I'd highly recommend it! :)
Pros: Outdoor area with heaters, Lovely, quality food, The burrata cheese looked absolutely amazing
Cons: Could do more clearly labelled vegan food

Lots of vegetarian options, limited vegan. - Edit
Emma showed up in Purple Cow, and our VBRO host recommended it as well. I enjoyed the fried tempura veggies. The carrots and peppers were so good. For my entree, I ordered the seitan. It was pretty good too.
Read morePros: Nice to see seitan on a menu.
Cons: Not many vegan options

Disappointing - Edit
The restaurant has a big range of vegetarian dishes, but not so many vegan. There was only one vegan main course (Seitan burger), so I asked the waiter if I could have a veganised pasta and he said thats not possible? 🙃
Read moreThen I ate a pizza with tomato sauce, garlic and mushrooms. I went to this restaurant because of the good reviews, but you can eat pizza without cheese in every italian restaurant, thats nothing special.
However, the pizza and bruschetta were good.

Wonderful! - Edit
A few Vegan and many vegetarian options indicated on the menu. Wait staff and chef helped us order a fantastic vegan meal. Everything we had was delicious! Especially the mushroom and garlic spaghetti that the chef prepared for us off menu.

Great starters and seitan main - Edit
Good options for vegans and non vegans. I had the fried vegetables and grilled veg to start as a sharer then the seitan main with potatoes and veg. I think other options included a veg salad, or I supposed pizza without cheese. Clearly labelled as vegan. Great atmosphere and wine selection too. Went back twice!
