Walked in and immediately the smells were incredible! They clearly do a lot of take out orders, but we were the only ones in the restaurant for the first 90 minutes of dinner. The food took a while to come out, but it was worth the wait. I’ve had Ethiopian food all over the world and this was the first restaurant that had mock meats available and they were fantastic! Menu was only in Dutch so Elsie suggested a few things and we took her recommendations.

Aangenaam verrast, super lekker gegeten. Er zijn tal van veganistische opties als voor- en hoofdgerecht. Wij hebben een veganistische schotel voor 2 per gegeten. Er zijn alleen fair trade wijnen verkrijgbaar. De witte wijn is fris en fruitig. De gastvrouw is heel vriendelijk.

This is an the best Ethiopian/Eritrean restaurant I have been to!! The food is so amazing and it is all fresh and home made!! The completely vegan platter is super tasty and not expensive at all! We even took some home with us afterwards as you get a lot of food!! Also be sure to take the freshly roasted coffee afterwards!!! The owner is super friendly and takes the time to explain everything about the food and Ethiopian/Eritrean traditions!! I would definitely give 5 stars if I could!! Can't wait to eat here again!!

I'm so sad I cant give a five star rating to this restaurant. We had the best dinner in ages here. The owner really can tell you all about the food and is super nice in general. We had a shared vegan platter and after that the freshly burned coffee that the other review here describes. I have had a smile on my face for the whole time because it was so so good.

We were heading for the snackbar but were tempted in by the lovely smells coming from this place. And it did not disappoint. We ordered the vegan (yes, even fully vegan marked on the menu) full platter and it was super tasty! Elsie is also a super attentive host and she clearly cares about her food and her customers. Be sure to order a freshly roasted (!) coffee after, you won't regret it.
