Unfortunately the restaurant is closed and the place for sale

Let us hope the owners will find new inspiration and another location as the food was really good!

Elemi is now Vegan

This excellent modern little bistro went Vegan in summer 2018.
We can thoroughly recommend it. Friendly, English speaking staff, excellent service and great food, reasonably priced.

Pros: Food, Staff, Service

Cons: Not too easy to find

Local gem!

Superb selection of Vegan food with an insanely good value 3 course set menu for under €10. I say set, but actually there is always about 8 different mains to choose from, all tasty. I really recommend the vegan lasagne. I just wish he had enough vegans to warrant staying open after 5.30pm. Give it a visit. Disappointment is not on the menu!

Pros: Amazing food, Amazing value, Good selection

Cons: Only open till 5.30pm

Pros: excellent food, good value, friendly staff

Best vegan place this side of the costa

We absolutely love it, I’d go here everyday if I was closer. The menu del dia is a no brainer, it’s about ten euros for starter, main and pudding of your choice and there’s always a really good selection. Everything we’ve had here has been amazing and anyone we take with us agrees. The people who run it are really inspiring if you’re trying to be vegan as the owner has been vegan about 30 years which just blows my mind. If you’re anywhere near then give this place a go it’s well worth it.

Pros: lots of options

Delicious food & great vegan options

We were over the moon to find this cafe so near to where we were staying which is void of any good vegan options. They are also very reasonable - we had three courses for around 9 euros Their gazpacho soup is incredible. There are also great places to park near by the cafe. Be sure to also check out Natural - a small health food shop which is around the corner - they have great vegan items.

a little Oasis in Estepona

What a great break from the Spanish diet of pork and bread. I would wait for this restaurant to open at 1200 to eat. The California Role and Veggie Burger are great!!!

Pros: Great Food, great service

Cons: only open 1200-1800.

Great choice of food

We took a detour to this restaurant on our way back to where we were staying in the mountains. There was a great choice and it was a relief to know that it wouldn't turn up with ham in it like so many "veggie" dishes do in Spain!
The food was really tasty and the service was very friendly. Would recommend.

Pros: Lots of choice

Cons: None

Excellent food - wish there were more like this!

Visited whilst on holiday. We had a 3 course substantial meal from the menu of the day for 8.95 euros. There was plenty of choice (too much in fact!) and the food was excellent quality and nicely presented. The staff were very friendly. I just wish we more places like this one. Really recommended.

Pros: Excellent food, Excellent value for money, Friendly staff

Delicious food, great staff, cheap!

They've got a great menu with a big variety of dishes from different countries, there's also a menu del dia for 8'99€ with starter, main and dessert, all of them big and delicious, also tasty and refreshing natural juices, smoothies and milkshakes.

Pros: good food, friendly staff, good price

Cons: no air-con inside!

Great food.. Again!

When in Estepona, we always stop at elemi, the menu del dia never disappoints. We kick back and enjoy a long leisurely lunch sausages for me and burger for him. Lots of trimmings and warm apple crumble and ice-cream is all demolished no problem!

The place was a bit messy and dirty. Not appealing at all.
The food was horrible. Totally tasteless. It was just ridiculous. I will not come back ever.

Veggie Restaurant Elemi

When you are staying in Estepona in the south of Spain do visit vegetarian restaurant Elemi situated near the harbour just a half hour walk from the center of Estepona. Amy and Amber are the two lovely waitresses who will do everything possible to make your stay at the restaurant comfortable. They have a variety of vegetarian dishes, such as beef bourguignon, wraps with Quorn or Falafel, veggie burgers, soup, sandwiches, tapas, salads, juices and smoothies. Be sure to try the lemon cake! The Gazpacho soup is lovely! In my opinion: the food is delicious and the service is great!

Pros: food, service, location

Fantastic!

A true vegan / vegetarian jewel in Andalusia!
We ate there several times during our two-week-stay in Estepona and were delighted every single time.
Many vegan options to choose from - and we tried pretty much everything from the meal/menu of the day to salads, wraps, soups, and smoothies / (soy) milk shakes.
The owner is British and was very nice, helpful and friendly, as the whole staff was.
High quality food and great value.
I just wished they would be open for dinner time as well - we'd probably have went there even more often!

Pros: Great food, Nice staff & owners, Take-away also possible

I wish there was a branch in Gibraltar

Elemi is excellent value for money - we tend to go for the menu of the day and have never been disappointed! We come away full and contented. Our port in the storm in meat orientated Spain! Wish there was an Elemi in Gibraltar!

Pros: No dead animals on the premises!, Value and taste, veggie port in meat orientated spain

Cons: Not in Gibraltar

Satisfying lunch

Ate lunch there with a friend 7 Feb. 2013. I had lentil casserole. This place was a treat, as we could eat something different than is typically available in Spain at a café. It's very near [one block away] the Estepona Marina.

Pros: They have outside tables too.

A jewel in southern Spain!

I ate here twice during my stay in Estepona (April 2011). It's a fantastic little place offering a good variety of vegetarian and vegan options. It's a true jewel in the heart of southern Spain - the land of pork!

Elemi Cafe on BBC2 programme

It was great to see Elemi Cafe being featured on BBC 2 Television's "Living in the Sun" programme today. The cafe looks really inviting, the owners look very friendly and the food looks absolutely delicious. It was great publicity for the vegetarian and vegan diet and I will definitely visit if I'm in this area of Spain.

Veg-tastic!!

This little restaurant was wonderful. I honestly can't fault it in any way at all.
I went there with my carnivorous parents and we all thoroughly enjoying our meal.
To nosh on we ordered a garlic flatbread, then i had a generous size portion of smoked tofu and noodle salad with spicy peanuts in a lovely dressing, it really was scrummy, very flavourful and served warm which was perfect for the temperature of the day.For most of the dishes you could either choose a large or small size portion (5.95 or 8.75 Euros). My mum had a goats cheese salad, with perfectly cooked cheese, crispy on top and soft in the middle, it came with a variety of veg, walnuts and dressing...served as a salad, and my Dad had a vegi lasagne and potato wedges.
Inside the restaurant were a few homemade cakes, vegi but not vegan...but the very helpful chef said they did have a vegan carrot cake, apple crumble and some vegan ice creams, so my mum and i shared a large dish of vegan vanilla ice cream with chocolate and caramel sauce and crushed vegan cookies.....sooooo yummy!!!
The staff were very helpful and friendly, and i would most definitely recommend it to everybody.
The menu is varied enough not to get bored of the selection and their is a "menu of the day" for just 8.75.
They do tapas, wraps, sandwiches, baked potatoes...a whole variety.
IMPORTANT INFO:our sat-nav took us to the wrong place. The cafe is actually on the left as you are facing the entrance of Estepona port. It's easy to spot as the sign is green and right next to the Elemi Beauty Salon, also green.

Pros: Varied menu, Delicious food, Friendly staff

Cons: closed in evenings

Delicious food! Plenty of vegan choices

This is a great little restaurant. They have wraps and salads, though I never tried any - I was too busy eating from their changing daily menu. The waitress and chef were able to tell me what was vegan. I had plenty to chose from, all with a great variety of fresh vegetables. I only wish they had more vegan desserts!

Pros: Tasty food, Plenty of vegan options, Lots of veggies

Cons: Almost no vegan desserts
